@jtscully83 Well, since you ask....using "your" for "you're" is a common and insignificant error, and doesn't reflect on your level of intelligence. I was actually alluding to how casually people make crushingly harsh and insulting online judgments that they would (hopefully) never express in person to a perfect stranger. A corrupt politician, say, deserves anything cyber-commenters dish out; I just couldn't see how this guy had offended you so much as to merit being publicly belittled this way.

@booker1959 I'm an educator in New York City, and my biggest pet peeve phrase that most of my students use all too often is "you know"....I admit I'm a ball breaker, but thats all that it was. I wish this guy the best as well as you and yours. But I will stand by the fact that the world would be a better place if people stopped saying "you know" instead of actual description. As Peter from family guy would say, "It really grinds my gears" ;)

And I suppose I can't have a real problem with someone who references Family Guy in a comment. However, as a--last--observation, I shall stubbornly maintain that calling someone retarded (or ugly, or a slut, etc) is usually only okay while watching the Academy Awards at home among family and close friends.
