@MultiMumpitz She must be good at adapting an American accent, then, because that's the first and only time I've heard one of her characters sounding British. Right?
Leo Sayer's first number, "You make me feel like dancing", that's one of his most famous songs! Not to mention that's one of the best skits EVER on the Muppet Show. I think it was one Leo's best skits ever, too!
I've never heard a male genuinely sing this high without singing falsetto. I can't even sing this high, and I sing alto. What range is he considered to be singing in? Nice performance, though.
They really "disco'd up" Leo's first song. The music in this version sounds a lot more electronic than the mellow guitars on the album version. Of course, in 1978, just about all upbeat pop music songs had disco influences.
(And it's worth noting that everybody who performed on the Muppet Show always recorded new performances for the show. I can't recall anybody ever just lip-synching along with their studio recordings)
You know, Justin Bieber isn't completely terrible. I mean, I'm not a fan, and I don't generally listen to Kidz Pop or whatever, but I do enjoy "Baby."
But honestly? There are more important things going on right now. . . like The Muppet Show. So, uh, yeah.

What does Statler say after Waldorf's "What's that?" right after that bird-dance-act?!
Somehow I cannot even deduce it from context here...
AleeraGorvan 8 months ago
@AleeraGorvan Statler says, "He reminds me of me when I was young". Waldorf:"How's that?" Statler:"Mainly his age".

Annie Sue sounds feintly British when she speaks the first time, doesn't she?
NaiTaiDai 10 months ago
@NaiTaiDai Yes, she was performed by Louise Gold, the only British member of The Muppet Show performing team.

lead singer of air supply??
supafiend 2 years ago
No, he's a solo artist from the 1970s. (Though, according to his own web site, he's often mistaken for Air Supply, as well as many other artists)
