I am from NOLA & I lost my son & the only man I was going to marry due to Katrina. No matter where or what the name of the storm, it effects lives always & forever. God rest the souls that perished & God bless the people stil now & forever suffering.

I cried when I watched this. It brought by all the memories of this storm. I was living in Chalmette at the time and it was the most tramatic experience of my life. I just remember that water going from the ground to the roof in minutes.
gopconservative, It is because of people like you I have left the gop after over 20 years. And by the way, the city of New Orleans is alive and kicking due to people( locals and angels that have volunteered their hands and hearts) that refused to let her die. Listen to the song. You need it more than you know.
Shame on you if were you live got hit bye a herrcane you would expect to you city to be rebuilt shame dont show your face ther if you go ther put a bag over your face
Seeing this once again reminds me....Did I ever say Thank You enough? Thank you to the police from New Jersey? The National Guard from Ohio? The firefighters from New York, from Illinois and God only knows where else? I'm still thankful for those people who put their lives on hold to come and help this city I still call home, even though I'm miles away now. Please know that you made a difference, and most of us love you for it.
i'd agree gg; it is terrible but alot of them could of left; and helped themselves and chose to wait on the government to come"help" them, which is their way of life! you have to take care of yourself; you didnt see them going to all this trouble for hurrican andrew or hugo; or recently iowa during their storms. help yourselves too!!!!!!!!
I grew up in N.O. & we never evacuated for a hurricane & never saw the type of damage and devastation that Katrina caused even though we were told what the worst case scenario could be. But when that doesn't happen you develop a false sense of security and think that you can ride out the storm which is cheaper than evacuating. Had I had to pay for a hotel I probably wouldn't have evacuated for Katrina either. Because I couldn't have afforded to, not because I was waiting for a free hand out.
at 58 seconds that red truck is my dads i use to live in new orleans i now live in texas and at 1:26 thats my church imaging this getting to your hometown wanting to watch tv and eat food but instead you see this look at 1:41
last summer i was in new orleans helping with 'hurricane relief' through my church. When we got there,we were told not to go anywhere alone, and don't even try walking around at night, even with someone. at night, police cars patrolled the 'slums'. After the storm, new orleans murder rate skyrocketed. The house we worked on had furniture and other things stolen out of it right after the storm. the hurricane was horrible, but how some people react, even benefit from it, is even more saddening.
Do some research on haarp. some say it can be suggested that this disaster came from non other then haarp. Controls weather, etc, etc. Do some research on HAARP. Youtube haarp.
Also youtube: phil schneider,william cooper,alex collier,david sereda,hutchison effect,robert o. dean,martial law,fema camps,underground bases,underwater bases,Al Bielek,etc,etc
The truth is out there. Do some serious diggin'(HARD RESEARCH) on whats going on.
This is a very touching video cause you don't know what really happened down there until you see the pictures of the devistaion. God has the power to rebuild things and hopefully these people will call on him . awesome video.
Amasing. Abosolutley amasing. I live an hour west of New Orleans and all we got from Katrina were some strong wind a rain but it's nothing compared to that. It amases me that we could be so close and have sustained as little damage as we did.
Thank you CanadianP!!! Forever grateful to The Royal Canadian Mountees, who arrived in my devastated Parish of St. Bernard, assisting w/ search, rescue, providing aid, and comfort before my US Govt!! God Bless
Jer 11:12 Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all, in the time of their trouble.
WOW! You could not have picked a better song to go with this video! If you did all this filming yourself, you did a wonderful job. You really used the song to bring out the struggle and horror that all the people suffering from Katrina went through. This video is sad, but it makes you really want to Cry Out to Jesus! Great job!
Thank you for the comments. I wish I could take credit for filming the video but all I can take credit for is some of the pictures and piecing it together with the songs. But God is the real worker behind this video.
Ever saw Hamburg bombing my american bombers! 70,000 dead in one day! Where are the songs for the 9 million Germans - oh yea they were white!

Many pictures of my neighborhood in St. Bernard Parish. And of my house underwater in Arabi.
Yet God has blessed us beyond measure. Grace and forgivenss, mercy and healing. He meets us wherever we are ;-)
I did a similar video of Katrina to Michael W. Smith's "Breathe".
Shalom.
