Second, there are SO many bands that talk about being sedated, or taking novocaine, or some kind of sedative, that it doesn't even MATTER that Green Day asks for novocaine. @mustwinder  Yeah, I've heard hospital staff talk about that. They use Ativan or tranquilizers to treat alcohol withdrawal. They were saying they only give people those in a hospital setting because people can get addicted to those. Then they said that if you think Alcohol withdrawal is bad, withdrawal from things like Ativan, Xanax or Valium is like 20x worse. Either way I'm glad I quit, lol

When I used to drink, this song would make me think of alcohol withdrawal. Technically Alcohol is considered a sedative.. "24 hours ago" It takes about 24 hours for Alcohol withdrawal to really kick in. "I can't control my fingers I can't control my brain" You really start shaking from alcohol withdrawal and have seizures. "Hurry, Hurry, Hurry before I go insane" You can start hallucinating and have anxiety attacks withdrawing from alcohol. Your hurrying to get a drink. LOL Most likely not
