I Respect everything you just said man, I really do. But the funny part is that I'm a 20 year old that drives an 08 escalade on 26s lol I do only get 12 MPG but I love my truck. That's why I bought it. Nevertheless I still respect that. My next vehicle is gonna be a smaller car like a BMW 650 giving me 20MPG. Hey it's better right? Lol
A 5 ft. woman driving a huge SUV? What if she has kids? My momhas always used SUVS. What do you expect us to do? When she drives us to school, along with other kids to carpool, do you want all 6 of us to cram into a toyota prius? Along with all of our stuff? The reason my mom drove a YukonXL was so we could all drive around together, rather than take multiple cars.
And are you seriously comparing the safety of a small car to that of an SUV or a truck? There's a reason they always win!
I listened to everything he said. The United States is a free country, and people may/should be able to buy SUVs at their own discretion. It shouldn't be up to the government (like everything these days) or our insanely inept president to decide who can drive an SUV.
Let me tell you, this video really cheered me up. A young person who is Awake - aware, holistically conscious of the needs of his fellow human beings, and sensitive to his living mother planet! Wow! Well done man! There's hope for our species yet if more people like this guy help Expand Consciousness far beyond merely 'bumping in the club', worshiping the almighty B.$ dollar and being a consumer zombie. Keep up the good work! We can change for the better if we can just SEE.. - Henry Swanson
Please watch my recently uploaded video on SUV rollovers and the law. I think it could help many people. Feel free to subscribe to my channel or friend me!
Well said gentleman. All you say makes perfect sense. Selfishness and greed is what causing all our problems in the world and we are paying the price for that. Keep it up man.
Just a few examples of MPG for you and/or Youtubers viewing this:
Cadillac Escalade - 14 miles per gallon
Hummer H2 - 10 miles per gallon
Mercedes-Benz G55 - 12 miles per gallon
Honda Civic - 30 miles per gallon
Mazda Tribute Hybrid - 32 miles per gallon
Toyota Prius - 46 miles per gallon
You are totally right. It is so sad that people sit in their SUV's and drink coffee while other people bike to work and school because they have a brain. Do the people in SUV's WANT to pollute the air???
When I first saw this video as I was watching a similar one, I looked at the title and I thought this would be a virtual advertisement for the 10 mile per gallon Hummer H2. But I am glad you are concerned about the environment. People are being slowpokes at realizing this. They're sitting in their motherfucking Mercedes-Benz G-Classes and GMC Yukons, drinking hot coffee. I think it should be a law to get a car with exceptional MPG and/or fine drivers of very large SUV's (unless it's essential).
Young girls? I haven't really realized a lot of young women in Escalades, H2's, Expeditions, Yukon XL's, etc. But I have seen quite a few. I have a Mazda Tribute Hybrid, which gets 35 city 30 highway. It's so sad what we are doing to our earth. There are those people who are riding their bikes and then there are those people who are spewing smoke in the bikers' faces with their big motherfucking Mercedes-Benz SUV's. It's so sad. Luxury equals the opposite of fuel economy; we need to change that.
You beat Al Gore. He's environmentally concerned yet he rides in private jets, Cadillac limos, etc. I applaud you! I have a Mazda Tribute Hybrid, with 32, I think. It's an SUV but it's one of the most fuel efficient SUV's. The Prius gets 46mpg, 48 city 45 highway.
35 city for an Accord; that's really overdoing it, but I'm glad you're being environmentally concerned. The Accord gets about 24 combined, I think 22 city 27 highway. That's actually pretty good; the average car (pickup, SUV, minivan, car, coupe) does get 21 miles per gallon.
I've got a Jeep, it gets about 19mpg while crusing @83mph on my 50 mile daily commute TO the office (all Highway), solution MOVE! it's cheaper to live in the city than commute to it, and as far as selling it, NEVER, i've been in an accident with a hundai (the guy was puffing smoke as he tore thru the stop sign infront of me, Caused the accident!) he slipped in and out of conciousness... and i was fine, pissed but fine. Since then i've MOVED. The Ultimate way to reduce gas consumption!
Who the fuck cares? Has anyone noticed that, over millions of years, the climate changes. Ice age comes on, as does global warming. We can't prevent it. And if you're going to nitpick, there are hybrid SUVs. Why not get a yukon/tahoe hybrid? Or an RX400h? My "destroyer" runs on E85, which is very safe for the environment.
35 miles to the gallon. YEA OK. freind has a civic and gets about 23 miles to the gallon. AND SUV GETTING 18 MPG. YEA OK, MUCH LOWer, suburban actually get about 10-12 city/ highway. F the EPA Sticker, i agree wit you that they suck ass on gas, 100% Right my friend, but they are simple things auto companys can do to make them more fuel effcient, unfortanly they just dont
Y'all gonna laugh so hard but I drive a Kia Pride which is the same car as a Ford Festiva. I prolly get like 50 miles a gallon. It's small, super cheap, doesn't cause me any trouble at all. Someone told me people in very poor countries drive this car cos it never breaks down, kinda like a Toyota.
i got a suv and i can say that it's not for show. to hell with what other people think. i got 4 kids i drive around, plus my hubby's army gear in the back. also, it depends on the drivers, and alot of people can not drive.
I absolutely DESPISE people who gloat about driving their Suburbans and Escalades and how they could care less about gas prices.....they really have a heart for their fellow countrymen who really can't afford throwing 50 bucks into their car every week. The less MPG you get, the more you'll be at the gas station, and the more the Saudi's will raise gas prices. If you're smart and have a heart, you'll twice before buying a truck that you don't need for work.
I wanted an SUV cuz I just like big stuff: cars/trucks, purses, etc etc. But Im poor. And I couldnt afford gas. So yeah...I wouldnt get one. Then I started recycling so then I'd feel guilty. I want a hybrid. But again...I'm poor. So we shall see.
Vehicles with poor gas mileage contribute the most to global warming. For example, according to the E.P.A's 2000 Fuel Economy Guide, a new Dodge Durango sports utility vehicle (with a 5.9 liter engine) that gets 12 miles per gallon in the city will emit an estimated 800 pounds of carbon dioxide over a distance of 500 city miles. Carbon dioxide is the gas contributed to causing global warming. Here we see that this SUV releases about 800 pounds of it.
False, i own a 97 gmc yukon. i am an 18 year old kid. pure steal, 2 airbages, weighs 5500 pounds, and has a vortec 5.7 v8. thats right, a 350 cubic inch v8, same size engine chevy has been using for generations in cars and trucks. and it has a very low roll over rate, trust me i have cut the wheel very tight and have not even got on two wheels. DO A LITTLE MORE RESEARCH PAL!
"SUVs had the highest rollover involvement rate of any vehicle type in fatal crashes 36%, as compared with 24% for pickups, 19% for vans and 15% for traffic cars. SUVs also had the highest rollover rate for passenger vehicles in injury crashes 12%, as compared to 7% for pickups, 4% for vans and 3% for passenger cars."
"In 1999, 63% of all SUV deaths were in rollovers."
"The SUVs named most polluting by the EPA are: the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet C1500 Avalanche, Chevrolet C1500 Suburban, Chevrolet C1500 Tahoe, Chevrolet K1500 Avalanche, Chevrolet K1500 Suburban, Chevrolet K1500 Tahoe, GMC C1500 Yukon, GMC K1500 Yukon, GMC K1500 YUKON DENALI, Toyota Land Cruiser, and Toyota Sequoia."
"..the fact that they roll over with such frequency completely undermines their safety. And when you have a rollover crash, the likelihood of death or injury is enormous. You are not going to walk away from that crash without any injury at all, & more likely than not, you're going to walk away with a severe injury."
You want more research buddy? I can continue busting you up. The lawsuits pending against GMC. The many of lawyers online for rollovers. GMC is on all of their sites. U dont want it
Listen pal, i wish i could afford a denali but i have a 97 yukon, vortec 5.7, flowmaster exhaust cold air intake, i average about 15 miles pergallon. NOT BAD for a BIG SUV. i love my truck, and i know many people who had their lives saved due to the size of the vehicle. my friend john has a 99 chevy suburban, and was hit head on by a drunk driver in a accord, totaled his truck, and walked away with just some scratches. the drunk, was in crital condition. put that in your pipe and smoke it
Mine gets 19 city and 26 highway. I live in the DC, MD, VA area and gas just hit $3.19 at its lowest, and I drive my car everyday and everywhere. My truck is quite safe too. I've been hit from the side (even though it was a small convertible Saab that came plowing into me at more than 45mph) and I was absolutely safe...my car was a little ugly though but it kept on moving (took me from MD to Chicago)...
Then a week after that accident, a frozen highway in Indiana (said I was on my way to Chicago) made me slide into the back of another SUV (bigger than mine, a GMC something) and it cracked my poor front bumper all the way up and even dented my radiator but it kept on trucking to Chicago and made it all the way back home 2 weeks later...that poor Saab was towed from the first accident but the people were fine and no ambulance was called in either accident...
I love my SUV! I have a small one though, Hyundai Santa Fe. Lol, yeah there's a lot of tiny girls pushing these huge cars. I only pay $40 to fill up but because of the way I drive (I'm a speed demon and will race anybody) it lasts me maybe a week and a half...They're making SUV hybrids too, you know...

Well all the people I know who have luxury cars(besides the Lexus owners) have all kinds of problems with their cars. BMW & Jaguar owners especially. People should do some research before they buy the cars. Consumer reports show that many of these vehicles will cause you problems down the road. Im sticking with Honda's & Toyota's for their superior design. My accord has 300,000 miles on it and still runs great. What German luxury car can do that?
Lol, yes we are laughing at you! I'm kidding, ain't no body worried about you unless you're slowing down traffic, then you are getting cussed out by another driver in his/her own car.
have you ever watched a movie or commercial of a small car smashing through a house and still getting the people to safety? many films show hummers and dodges doing this. it's like watching superman then going to the store to buy him. oh wait! nevermind i blame the media for everthing don't i?
