  • Awww his little feet!

  • Definitely worth going to a breast feeding class. There is a real lack of information on it and no wonder so many people give up so early. The more information you can get, the better. I found Kellymom.com a good site for advice etc. As for gifts, i'm similar and feel awkward about it too. I find it really embarrassing receiving them, but I love sending them to other people! You're looking fantastic and have a real pregnancy glow, it's lovely. I'm still in 1st tri so look terrible! ha ha x

  • Ahh, finally, someone who shares my pain about gifts! I thought my dad and I were just about the only ones in the world who felt so odd about getting gifts. :)

  • Definitely bigger but such a cute belly!

  • I had a family baby shower after I had my baby...it was so nice! Everyone got to meet my son and I felt so much better than The shower I had pre baby. Just a thought !

  • Oh you are so cute!!! I love your Nolen belly!

  • aww i love the belly lol so cute just wait till 39 weeks lol bigger but still cute at least i think so

  • I just want to say one little thing: having a baby isn't the worst pain of your life, it's the BEST pain of your life. If you think about it as something painful, it will hurt A LOT. It's not necessary painful!

  • Your belly did get big all the sudden! You look great!

  • Yay for classes! Those are the same 3 we took:) Oi! About the showers, but I hope they go well! YOU LOOK AMAZING! Awwwww, I LOVE the lil' feet! Lovely! <3

  • Love his little feet at the end! Also, I see the growth in our belly! So cute! That means baby is growing strong!! Good luck with your doula visits.

  • @youngmummy92 That is frustrating!

  • Love your channel. Im a new subscriber, and just love it. My husband and i are ttcing and i find your vlogs an amazing help. They give me hope that it can too happen for us. Thamks for sharing your journey.

  • @MsNenebird Aw, thank you! Best of luck TTCing.

  • THumbs up!!! Love you girl!

  • @TheTurnersJourney Thank you! :)

  • Hey Kelsey, random question.... How are you liking your homemade laundry detergent? I know you made a video about it a while ago and I'm thinking about starting it up, and I was wondering if you still liked it and if it was working out? Thanks!

  • @lovemathlovelife I'm still using it and still like it! I am *just* having to make some more this week (I have enough for maybe two loads so it's on my to do list for tomorrow). It's been great for my husband's sensitive skin. He has REALLY bad skin reactions (not just breaking out) to all detergents except the Purex Free & Clear brand which you can't cheap out on. So, it's definitely be a win for us!

  • Does your hospital offer a breastfeeding support group that you can take baby to after he's born? I went to one at my hospital once a week and it was so helpful!! You weigh your baby before breastfeeding, then again after breastfeeding to see how many ounces he took in. It was so helpful to see that how much milk baby is actually drinking. I also met a ton of new mom friends that way and many play dates have formed as a result!

  • @leofire31 I am pretty sure they have lactation consultants that visit during your stay, but both of the doulas we are interviewing offer breastfeeding support at birth and postpartum as part of their services. I also plan to attend local La Leche League meetings- like you I think it'd be a good resource for BFing but also to meet other moms!

  • @plus1please, yeah I had a lactation consultant visit during my stay. This was different though, more of a weekly group type thing. I took my son once a week until he was around 6 months old. You might want to ask your lactation consultant about it to see if they have that at your hospital. It really was wonderful. The La Leche League meetings are pretty great too but I think they are usually only once a month.

  • Cold in Texas? lol Glad everything is looking up for you! Wanted to let you know that my husband and I are picking an area to live near Austin. We have heard really wonderful things about the Cedar Park area and it is close to his work (Arboritum area). Starting to make vlogs again if you want to check me out :)

  • @lizzy32984 LOL, 40 degrees is freezing here! People bust out the boots, scarves, gloves, etc at about 50.

You will love Austin! It's a wonderful place.

  • how adorable profile picture!! i also have profile pic and pictures of his little feet and hands it's just so surreal ! god bless Kelsey :)

  • @happydaly It is amazing! I cannot remember if I replied to your last comment about your anatomy scan results, but I did get the email about it. So happy for you that your baby boy is healthy too!

  • That is so true about seeing you at your worst!...I am normally modest person, yeah that ALL goes out the window during labor!!! Can't wait to hear how your experience with a dula goes, I might consider that with my next :)...BTW I love your videos!!!

  • @003becky I am super modest as well so I am interested to see how I am during labor. Ha, I think I will shock Colby. *Making a note to myself to warn him about this.*

  • And I think your belly has certainly gotten bigger! It is soooo cute! :)

  • I'm so excited for you to take the classes at your hospital! I hope you really enjoy them! :) The fact that your hospital has a new women's center is a good sign that they will be a cool hospital! Our hospital has a birth center that is relatively new (2007 I think) and they have so many amazing things and protocols I wouldn't normally associate with a hospital. I hope yours is the same!

  • @PearlDahhhling If the hospital sucks, I think I'll just have my baby at Wal-Mart and call it a day.

  • @plus1please If it's good enough for Novalee Nation it's good enough for you!

  • @PearlDahhhling Exactly! And that's why I like you.

  • By the way I didn't mean to sound like a weird belly stalker just there LOl!

  • Y no more bare belly pics? I'm so jealous of cute bare baby bellies because I'm covered in stretch marks lol but I love seeing them! :)

  • @xxoxsamxoxx I did one last week, I think? I just had way too many layers on today to deal with.

  • aww, love your belly - and your sweater!! where'd you get it?

  • @thebabymuse My sweater is from Old Navy but it's old... I got it 4 years ago maybe?

  • awww cute lil feet!! my lil boy was in there moving around, waving his hands and wiggling his toes. the nurse said he had big feet lol i was like heyyyy

  • @sheishell88 Hahaha! I showed my dad the photo of the feet and he was like, "Woah big feet!" So awkward.

  • Can I recommend that you take a Bradley class in addition to the hospital classes? I think I remember you saying you were interested in natural childbirth. A hospital class is just not going to be adequate for educating you or your husband about natural childbirth and how to manage pain, etc., etc.

  • @sterlingwalters Oh we definitely don't expect to get labor preparation from the hospital class. We're really in that for the newborn care and postpartum part. We're reading lots of natural child birth books (including the Bradley books, hiring a doula, and watching lots of videos and reading birth stories to better understand different phases of labor, progression, problems, solutions, etc. We won't be doing a formal class though.

  • @plus1please This makes me so incredibly happy! I love when a mom and dad to be take such care in preparing for their child's birth. Hubby and I are having our third at home and are so thankful we read the books and took the classes in order to know what can happen, what to expect, and take the SCARY out of a perfectly normal process of a woman's body. Blessings to you guys! It's so exciting! :)

  • @sterlingwalters Good luck with your birth!

  • I can't believe the dislikes?? It is weird with the gifts especially everyone staring to see ur reaction.... Enjoy them though, they are fun

  • @ng26ng Yes, I call it "present anxiety" lol. I am always afraid I will not react the right way. My emotions are always written all over my face.

  • I never had a baby shower with any of my 4 babies :( I am always so happy to hear about your loving family, and how excited they are to have little Nolen in the world. That is one loved baby! <3

  • @BriarRoseZ Aw, I'm sorry :( I really didn't expect anything and am nervous about them all (like I explained).

  • @plus1please - AWW I love the feet pic on the ultrasound my baby girls JUST hit 2 months old now and I got asked am I planning anymore and had to say nope. I look forward to your vids every week though especially when its cold and snowing outside like now

  • @USMCBaby2011 :) That's sweet of you! Thank you!

  • I'm totally awkward about gifts also! Our wedding "gift opening" that family insisted we have was excruciating! lol! Fortunately, the baby shower wasn't as bad because we just tried to focus on the fact that they weren't gifts for us, they were gifts for the baby! That helped! :)

  • @haythor That's what I'm hoping!

  • I had my shower at 29 weeks! I am a SUPER planner, and I just couldn't wait that long to be prepared, as you usually have a fair amount of shopping to do after the baby shower to get everything you didn't get! It was wonderful :) I still felt pretty good, and I luckily had everything all done by 34 weeks when I started having complications that landed me in the hospital so I'm super happy I was done early! :)

  • Such a sweet video, you're adorable, and I love your voice (sounds weird I know lol)

  • @OurBump Thank you!

  • I had my shower at 33 weeks and it was perfect timing. Let people "shower you" and the baby. There's so few times in life when you get to be celebrated, enjoy it :-)

  • @Jlk6532 Thank you :)

  • How do you even have a dislike?!?! As someone who is TTC'ing, I find your videos so refreshing and uplifting. It gives me hope that one day, I will be on the other side. :-)

  • @WannaBMommy2B Haha, it doesn't bother me! Haters gonna hate ;)

Best of luck TTCing and thank you for your sweet comments about my videos!
