If its Alex missing the fly ball, the attention would still be focused on him. Like Joe Torre said, A-Rod is a lightning rod. Anyone else in baseball could do that and its no big deal. ARod is paying the price for being the highest paid player in the game, however, they should show some of his positives. For example, there are very, very few guys who come out every day and sprint down the first base line on a ground ball hit to the left side. Alex does it everytime.
