There are about 15 different techniques to escape the front choke. This is a good one if you move real fast. However, once you break the choke the attacker can still regroup and reattack you with a different hold, punch, or kick. I prefer to reach up and grab the attackers thumbs and pull on his thumbs downwards to break the choke then follow up with a kick or punch.
