I'm glad that her family is getting compensated. There is not nearly enough info about the dangers of a water-drinking contest that may lead to water intoxication as in this case. The consumption of too much water may cause a depletion of sodium/salt levels in the system leading to swelling of the body tissues including the brain. How unfortunate that no one seemed to realize such hazards of the 'contest'. May she rest in peace and her family find solace on earth.

Well, it's not bad as most other drugs of abuse, legal or otherwise. However, to say it's perfectly safe is a lie. You're biased because you just want to believe whatever makes you feel more comfortable. When you smoke weed, you inhale burning plant matter. This is never good for your lungs. It won't cause cancer, and it won't kill you, but it's not 100% harmless.
