ohhhhh my god!!! when i was little i had a super nintendo and played the shit otta megaman x had that game down to a science then. then moved on to nintendo 64, and got a ps 1 (not when it was new) later in the year and i was amazed this was one of the first games i played for it then i got legend of the dragoon......good times.

FF7 is my most memorable game I ever owned on the PS1 not only because of the atmosphere, but also because of the amazing big world and weapons/magic combination. It's was my first Final Fantasy game (not counting Mystic Quest on Snes) and I'm in love with the series since then.

Seeing boss battles reminds me of the great time I had.

Having completed this game MANY times I imagine you have done it a fair few times also, try it using no materia or just initial equipment so it is not extremely easy, adds a little to the fun when you need to work out tactics for the bosses instead of knowing you will breeze through them.
