  • Boy this brought back memories of my childhood! I loved Petticoat Junction, Green Acres & The Beverly Hillbillies when I was a kid. Too bad about the bumble boogie, that would be a great song for you but I'm not complaining; I love you for all the wonderful songs you do give us! As always, thanks for bringing a smile to my face!

  • Allen, You are a gifted musician! I can see "the little train that is rolling down the tracks to the junction" when you play the music.

  • @geoandscot Thank you.

  • ala, can you do the bumble boogie in your superb style.. as i can play it normally, howeveri cant play your style, and think it could sound brilliant

  • @ravingeddie Sorry, I am a miserable failure with the Bumble Boogie. I can't even play it VERY SLOWLY !LOL.

  • can you do a video of just Green Acres by itself? please?

  • Not anytime soon. Sorry.

  • This one put a smile on my face as well. :-)

  • thanks.

  • This one made me smile!

  • Thank you.

  • WHEEEE DOGGIES...That was good.

  • Thanks.

  • Outstanding!

  • thanks.

  • Simply perfection!! What a joy. Love to have you play at my 50th birthday party. All us "Old Queens" could gather round and sing the theme songs from our favorite childhood television shows. Thanks Allen! Keep it coming. Godspeed!

  • LOL...thanks.

  • Ok...I gotta get up and dance...right now !!!

    Thanks Allen !

  • thanks

  • Absolutely BRILLIANT mate!!!!

You OBVIOUSLY love the music you play - and by all means - they don't write tv theme tunes like those anymore, especially songs that can sum up a show's "story" in a minute - that took some serious skill.

I hope somebody, somewhere is paying you for your ability to entertain because it is AMAZING!

Thanks again for the effort to record this and put it on youtube - brought back many very fond memories for me, as a kid, watching these great shows!

  • Thanks!!!

  • Love your music. I also play by ear but it doesn't even come close to your playing ability. I'm good with the right hand but have trouble with the left. Any suggestions? Thanks

  • YEEEEE-HAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the wonderful memories !!!! Ben.

  • thanks!!!

  • This was fantastic! I just recently watched the first official season of "Petticoat Junction" (my favorite of the reruns I watched as a kid), and couldn't believe how much I still enjoy the show now that I'm in my 40s. If there is ever a "Hooterville" movie made (did anyone like "The Beverly Hillbillies" with Jim Varney?), they should get you to do the music.

  • Thank you.

  • fantastic!!!!!!! =) U made all the themes really fun, especially Green Acres =)

  • thanks

  • Very Nice !

  • Thanks

  • Nowadays we're condemned to indecent teens and soap opera. Green Acres DVDs aren't subtitled in any language, even in english, so I coulnd't buy it to my mother.

  • You can always record Green Acres on TV LAND channel. It does air on occasion. Check their local listings.

  • Speachless. That was awesome. Love that ragtime feel. I think I got dizzy watching your left hand, though!

Seriously, I loved it. Going into my Favourites right now.

    Great show!

    Rick - Wisconsin - USA

  • thank you!

  • Why don't they air these shows any more!?!? They were great! TV land is failing us.

  • nice work. i hear jax was harassing you while you played -- props for maintaining.

  • All too well , you know! LOL. Thanks for the kudos tho!

  • pretty good

  • thanks

  • Honestly, Allen did this on the FLY, it was suggested, and we recorded it, NO "practicing" What so EVER!!! Len P

  • More family secrets let out huh??? LOL. Hugz, Allen.

  • That was entertaining. Thanks.

  • Welcome!!

  • Loved it!

I always loved watching those shows

  • Thank You!!

  • This is really good Allen....That train left the station real well!....Jax

  • Thanks!!

  • How any person could do this, is unexplainable, and I was the one with the camera recording this. Allen, "KING of the SEGUES " has done it AGAIN!!! Len P

  • Thanks, Len!!!

  • Excellent job!! very talented

  • thanks!!

  • Really well done -- I've never seen the sheet music for these TV series theme songs, so you must have watched them long enough to play them by ear. You done good, guy!

  • Thanks!
