I agree with you- she has a great voice, but it just doesn't fit evanescence's music. Her voice sounds too cute. Amy's voice sounds angel-like. And it sometimes sounds a bit uneasy because of her accent.
She is a great singer though. Maybe she should just try something different.
I'm just wondering....is that all you can do is copy other peoples songs? Or can you be a big girl and write your own songs? Amy Lee will always sound better on songs she writes. And you will always sound the best if you choose to write your own. I encourage you to step higher and write your own music. This is such a beautiful cover... Her voice isn't as powerful as Amy's in some ways, but it's just as amazing. In some ways, she even surpasses Amy's vocals. Beautifully done.

its weird when people say 'Amy Lee sings a lot better'...damn straight she does and I'm sure Ailyn isn't trying to compete with Amy Lee....thats not the point of covering a song.
I do like Ailyn's voice a lot, particularly in the album the 13th floor with Sirenia, but her voice isn't suited for evanescence songs.

She does sing songs in Spanish. I'm actually not a big fan of hers--I haven't listened to her music long enough to be--but yes, she does songs in Spanish. Why she doesn't write her songs? I have no idea. But it's awesome that she covered the songs for Kingdom hearts.

No es que cante mal, es que no le pega este estilo. Lo siento por ella, pero tiene una voz demasiado dulce como para cantar metal.
Tal vez me guste más cantando sus propias canciones pero las de Evanescence no las clava.

Sharon es soprano e insiste mucho en los agudos y Amy es mezzosoprano pero también tiene un registro muuuuuuy amplio, no es lo mismo, no confundas. Te repito lo que ya he dicho: tiene una voz bonita y las nuevas canciones de Sirenia tampoco las ejecuta nada mal...pero esto es lo mismo que ha sucedido con Nightwish, si estás acostumbrado a Tarja cuesta aceptar a Anette. Prefiero a esta chica cantando sus propias canciones.

Geez, I don't want to be disrespectful with anyone's opinion, but come on, new album is the best Sirenia has ever released! And Ailyn does sing this song beautifully, she puts a whole new emotion on it, a lot of agressiveness, and she shows what she's capable to do. I just wish Morten would stop writing all the songs with the same old vocal lines and use the potential she has.

Siento deciros, que a esta tia lo que le va es el pop. Se ha metido en un mundo que no es para ella, aunque nos lo quiera hacer creer. El nuevo disco de Sirenia no esta mal, pero no llega a la calidad de los 3 primeros, aunque si es mejor que el 4º, cosa que no era muy dificil...
Habra que verla en directo para tener una opinion mas objetiva, pero desde luego destroza este temazo de Evanescence, y eso que esta grabado en estudio (esperemos que se por culpa del tecnico de sonido XDD)...

A ver, para los que digan que esta chica canta mejor que Amy Lee...no se que decirles, estan de coña o que? Por otra parte, no creo que este a la altura de Sirenia digamos que es un metal gotico mas complicado que Evanescence. La verdad no se por que Morten Veland la ha escogido, será por que esta muy buena, por que tendría que haber hablado con Vibeke Stene que ya no está en Tristania (banda de la que viene Veland)...
