Do you know that those of us that run these trains laugh at all of you who stand on the side of the road, and the right of way and take pictures and videos, we call you FOAMERS.........get a life its just a train
@karldotcom Thanks for showing trains! 150 years & many thousands of people opened up the country with rail transport. To bring us goods we need! I like to see how it's done.
This is as interesting as watching overpaid players play ball - just to promote/advertise/merchandise goods we don't need
@cjfranchot Im always amused at comments like yours. Do you think that if I could follow you around 24/7 that I couldn't find plenty to ridicule you about regarding your lifestyle and habits?
@cjfranchot yo! Thats funny I was thinking the same shit.. (get a life, it's just a train) But then I seen some people with youtube channels that seem to have a underlying deep obsession with ELEVATORS. Yes, elevators. They record videos of riding on elevators. After I seen that, the "train people" dont seem all that bad anymore.
@cjfranchot I'll admit that if people stood around, taking pictures of me and my equipment as I did my job, it'd be a little annoying...however, railfanning has been around a lot longer than your railroad career has. Foamers go with the territory. As long as they aren't trespassing, then they are hurting you. If you don't like it, you should've chosen another profession.
Man I can't believe this, this is certianly way to much power for that train, they should of had two or three units in the middle and some more at the end of the train, (if) this train is actualllly that long, Nice video, 5 stars!!! BNSF!!
Not all of those units are online, BNSF only allows 36 powered axles in one loco consist, and most dash 9s equal 8 powered axles because of the amount of tractive effort they produce. So 5 at the most are actually doing something.
James J. Hill would love this...to see what his old railroad has come to look like in the 21st century..so would my Uncle Raymond (Burlington Route) and my Grandfather, too.(Santa Fe)
The point is that its not everyday u see 5 or 7 big engines rolling together....but u have to be into trains to realize that. Kinda like if I was bird watching which I dont and a rare bird landed...I wouldnt know what I was looking at.
The pink started out as red, it just faded in the sun over time. That's an Ex Santa Fe loco, Santa Fe being one of the former company's now making up BNSF.
8 locomotives, now that's some serious power! Thanks.

BoredTrucker1902 4 years ago
I believe all 8 were Dash 9-44CW's which produce 4400hp each; so 35,200hp on that train, and they all sounded like they were on line and pulling.
