woooooooooooow its so faaaaast!!!dmn i think it is faster that a drag racer!!oh wiat its not!the only nice (xd) thing in this video were u say that its faster the a speeding snail!!
I dont think this would be too usefull though it is cool it is less efficent than a motor and propeller but I suppose at high voltages it might be more interesting.

I forgot to ask, Just what the cornbread Hell is a Tokamak anyhow? Does that have anything to do with a dog sled up there in Alaska? Inquiring minds need to know this stuff.
>Just what the cornbread Hell is a Tokamak anyhow?
It's the most common type of magnetic-confinement experimental fusion reactor, which is what you'd probably be using if you were trying to generate power through fusion. (You're the one that brought this up!)
Okay, oskay, I'm in a magnanamous mood so I'll explain it to you so then YOU will know it also, the next time you're asked in some idle conversation. It is usually used to describe the method that uses magnetic force to contain the "hydro" or fluid pressure creaed by the process of creating "Hot Fusion." To contain it and allow it to gain it's full force and thereby generate fusion power. Get it? Now if there are no more questions... class dismissed.

Yeah, I gathered that the word has nothing to do with anything except for lining your pockets with money of those so naive that they have no ideah what all them there fancy words you keep on usin' means. "Magnetohydrodynamics." indeed, what a jerk!
We have a DIY project blog and did a tutorial on simple MHD propulsion. If you don't want to learn about it-- fine, but just because we use the proper name doesn't mean you need to trash it.
Magnetohydrodynamics isnt some made up word, just cause your an utter idiot and cant understand that its the magnetic field causing force on the liquid as the current is being passed through it, doesnt mean you can go shoutin your mouth off trying to be a smartarse, do everyone a favour, stfu and go learn some basic damned physics.
The idea of MHD is that magnetic fields can induce currents in a moving conductive fluid (salt water), which create forces on the fluid, and also change the magnetic field itself.
which way is the current flowing?

This is a tiny demonstration of magnetohydrodynamic propulsion; it obviously doesn't have a damn thing to do with optimizing your tokamak.
