WISH THEY HAD MADE IT AIR PRESSURE TIP JET HELICOPTER THEN THE CONVENTIONAL ONE THOUGH. WUD AVE MADE MORE SENSE FOR A COUNTRY LIKE INDIA WHICH LOVES THINGS DAT NATURALLY WORK AT EXTREMLY LOW COSTS AND HAVE A HIGH RELIABILITY WID SIMPLE MECHANISMS.. WUD AVE BEEN REALLY BETTER IF HAD JUST DONE SOME RESEARCH AND MADE IT A MUCH SIMPLE APJ HELICOPTER .. WELL LOST A GOOD CHANCE TO TRULY MAKE A BREAKTHROUGH.

I m indian.....i m proud of our achievements - LCA and LCH......however we must emphasize on quality control a lot more. Ecuador crash has been making negative publicity. All their news websites are terming "Indian products" as "unreliable" which needs to be erased..They need to be reminded that despite pilot error the pilots survived the crash which satisfy QC. However more emphasis for QC must be placed on both the main and the tail rotors nevertheless. Maintenance should be made compulsory.

dhruv is a product of Indian government

can the government give service facility all over the world just like other private sector

so most probably it will be sold only among armies of the world

if india want to make it commercially successful it has to have branches all around the world or it has to have some tie up up with private sector.

Western certificates are not the last word in aviation safety. However DGCA follows the FAR specifications and gives airworthiness certificates to new designs accordingly.... HAL is in process to obtain JAA for ALH. And after that HAL may go for FAA if they find it necessary.

I think it's a fine aircraft. HAL is a new player in the arena, so it's normal that the market doubts the credibility. But considering that over 90 aircrafts are in service in the Army alone without any major incidents, proves the reliability.

I think its reputation would just grow in time and it's become a known name amongst the world leaders in Helicopter Industry.

the tail rotor of 5 of those sold to ecuador had technical problems and some engines where old...too bac ecuadorean governmetn made business with this company....the sold as car instead of rabbit
