@chel325 Well..not childhood sweeties, but we did grow up in the same part of town, and hung out and played at the same places (she was a tom boy!!!). In the 80's, when I started to see her with punk hair cuts and wearing mini skirts....I was in love!! haha ;)

Yes, our kids enjoy our old stomping grounds too :)

I'll be driving on the DC beltway next month when we head to the beach, I'll blow the horn and shout 'hello chel' ;)

@64mung lol There's nothing wrong with tomboys, as I'm sure you know now. I'm a tree climber, fence jumper from way back. Ah, I miss the 80s. I was more into Boy George so wore the long shirts and big hats. All those pictures were definitely destroyed. :P

I live right off the highway, so I'll wave when I hear your horn. lol I'll make sure to toot my horn the next time I'm headed north to the casinos. ;)

@Pursuman 2:07 We call that 'Flat Rock'..It's a gigantic boulder in the mountains. The mountain stream runs over the rock to make a natural water slide.. My wife and I would swim there when we were kids. We enjoy watching our kids swim there now :) I'm happy the clip brought back memories for you...pretty cool :)

The tortoise was trying to get to the marsh on the other side of the road...the officer was giving it a little help with his 'turtle shovel';) the officer placed the tortoise on the bank beside the marsh..and away it went :)

The natural water slide is called 'Flat Rock'..it's a gigantic boulder about twice the size of a house and the mountain stream flows right down the middle of it...it's like a sheet of ice!! It's not far from my house, my wife and I have been swimming there since we were kids..and now we get to watch our kids swim there. Wheeeeee! ;)
