After their career is finally over, U2 will not only leave behind one of the biggest footprints in the history of rock, they’ll leave behind one of the biggest footprints in the history of music. Their 'competition' isn't just rock legends like The Beatles, Elvis, Led Zeppelin, and The Rolling Stones-- it's people like Mozart, Beethoven, George Gershwin, and Duke Ellington. They are truly one of the ALL TIME greats. Anyone who doesn't understand this needs to listen to their ENTIRE catalog.
my favorite I2 song ever. Batman Forever was cool in somes ways. Chill the haten'. Kiss From a Rose was cool, too. Whole soundtrack was great. Played background at many scandalous house partys, in my 20's. if you know what I mean.
Batman Forever was a joke, sorry to those that like it, but it is. It's loud, bright, and misses the entire point of Batman. Read the best Batman comics sometime, you'll see why most of us don't look back fondly on the Schumacker films. For a laugh, they're good. But if you really want the essence of Batman, Nolan does it better. Strong narratives, darker imagery that invokes the Gotham of the comics, the sense of plausibility it's had since day one, and if DKR rumors are true, the mysticism.
You're right, it was... it was meant to be one, in a cartoony-live way. The tip offs were the many puns and pratfalls the movie was full of, it was made at the start when corporations and companies endorsed movies (McDonald's and Burger King) big time to promote their products: Remember in the beginning Batman told Alfred he'll get his lunch thru the drive thru? And why Jones, Kidman, O'Donnell, and Carrey? Purely to entertain. The bad is the Clooney outing.
Oh trust me, I enjoy Batman Forever, but in more of a train-wreck fashion. Not at the level of Batman & Robin, but the humor is shaky at best in Forever IMO.
Then again, I laugh at the badness of Batman & Robin and actually like Wild Wild West, so it's probably just me.
No prob. I do like your indepth comment. Quite imformative to those who still thinks the Batman and Robin on the Saturday morning cartoon "Superfriends" is the legit deal.
the movie kicked ass, i honestly dont see what you dopes dont like about it. nolans batman sounds lie a retard and val kilmer was afar superior batman. plusjim carreys riddler was hilarously awsome while ledgers joker just sucked and was boring.
baman forever was the shit back in the day! its really sad tht everyone is to busy kissing nolan and bales ass to appreciate this underrated batman film.
hold me thrill me kiss me kill me??? y'a pas a tortiller du cul pour chier droit c'est un des trucs les + intelligents que j'ai entendu de toute ma vie

@ThePhantastes not true, the movie itself was awsome and this song just added to the awsomeness. you'd have to be a real batman hater to say Forever was a bad movie. it was a great un action packed batman film. i wil take forever or TDK anyday.
@ABTE67 Are you sure about that? Both songs were released in 1995. This one, specifically in June 5, 1995 (Recorded 1994–1995). They don't even sound that much alike.
No one's probably gonna read this, but I’ll say it anyway cuz I feel at least 1 person will. I'm a young designer and graffiti artist, I know there's a million out there but I feel like my art has a unique individual style.
If you just take a min and give me a chance I'll make you a believer. I would love nothing more than to have a loyal following on youtube. If anyone who reads this could press the "THUMBS UP" others will see it. Just a simple button push will make a huge difference.
batman forever has a great production design, but it wasn´t enough to fill it´s bad acting and dumb story, if it wasnt for the design and this song, the film would have been a catastropheee...
@TRXMoose Hey ya prick, I said this song is great, I only said U2's other songs suck! Do you really like crap like "I Still Haven't Found What I've Been Lookin' For"? If so, I have no further comment.
@TRXMoose Just because a band wins Grammys makes them awesome?? I find your logic disturbing. I'll bet you'd enjoy fucking a donkey in the ass without even giving him the courtesy of a reach-around.
@robert779 Let me put it this way, U2 is obviously better than Kesha, Rihanna, Eminem, Lil Wayne and all those other guys. And since they win a ton of Grammys actually does make them awesome. If U2 keeps on winning them again and again, its obvious they aren't terrible.
The one and only problem I have with this video (and by extension, the song itself) is that, much like "Kiss From a Rose," it made the movie look cooler THAN IT ACTUALLY WAS!
@MiketheCabbie it was good, for its time :) now its time for them to re-release darker versions of the ones already done, and new ones we've never seen
@EnigmaW2011 those clips were most likely intended to be in the film but for whatever reason were removed from the final cut. the film clip would most likely have been made while the movie was still being made in the hope they would be released around the same time. not too sure if thats the reason why, just my theory.
