  • They dont do the CBS ID anymore......

  • Man, I miss that music!

  • I'm not convinced it's CBS even if the guy says it is. Very skeptical...

  • yeah and it's all covered up with dog stuff

  • @kachoo2135 @TheOpenMinded12460 It's not covered with dog stuff, that man's voiced is covered up with Mad Dog!

  • This was shown from 1992 to 1995.

  • Why is it that they had 2 different announcers for this? I know the 4-second version has a guy who sounds somewhat upbeat. The guy who does this one sounds more somber and serious.

  • That man sounds like he's drunk.

  • LOL you really think so? How can you tell that just from a small phrase?

  • @Joshuaguss Yeah I know, huh?Lol.

  • @Joshuaguss @TheOpenMinded12460 The man sounds like he's about to have a hangover.

  • @Joshuaguss @TheOpenMinded12460 Talk about having a hangover!

  • They showed this so much it was so annoying

  • yep you got that right! I saw this logo Many times in 2001

  • This only aired from 1992 to 1994, maybe 95. Never in '01. And it was not so annoying. This was the first network ID in my memory, and I love it! It will never go away for me!

  • trust me I know what I saw. Maybe it was the shorter version in 2001 but I saw a logo in that same purple-like shade

  • who's the anounncer thats doing the cbc id for 1992 voiceover

  • You can see the old CBS logo through the eye logo at 0:02.

  • Good eye! (pardon the pun) I would have never caught that.

  • Thanks. I noticed it back in early 1993.

  • the new CBS company will run the network into the ground.

  • What new "CBS Company?"

  • I think he means CBS Corporation.

  • I remember seeing the lights in the background during a "Stop The Madness" mini-PSA. It was Justin What's His Face from "Hearts Afire" teaching folks not to do drugs. It was during a 1993 or 1994 showing of "Frosty The Snowman".

  • The "Aurora lights" (as I call the lights in the background) were integrated into CBS's imagery in other ways too; affiliates had promo graphics with them and the CBS special intros of the era were based on this ID.

  • You don't hear those CBS chimes anymore.

  • I meant to say not so much.

  • I have to (sadly) admit, I don't remember ever seeing this great ident as a kid :(

  • evil eye ball....creepy

  • Maybe..

  • Stop calling my favorite decade cheesy, you bastard!

  • The 1970s and 80s were more cheesy (worse) than this...

  • This is the full I.D.- most stations usually cut away from it after the five second mark...

  • Aww man! I haven't seen this one since I was 7! I've been waiting to see this one forever! One of my faves!

  • Very good for 1992

  • Intresting!

  • The best CBS ident of them all.

  • I agree!

  • I agree. Very clean looking graphics.

    Simple but very effective.

  • AMEN!

  • Nice clip. The actual on-air version used a different voiceover.

  • Actually, they used both idents.
