  • i love the respect these guys have for each other thats what boxings all about!

  • R.I. P. Gatti.

  • Both legends ! No way gatti killed himself

  • GREAT MEN!!!

  • 00:46 RESPECT!!

  • I was just thinking how different of a post-fight interview this is than the one Floyd Mayweather had with Larry Merchant, lol...........But then again, I guess that's the difference: Some people have class, respect, dignity, and character, and then again some don't. Gatti and Ward define class and heart. Mayweather, as much as I love watching the guy fight, and as great as he is, he will always be remembered as that: A great fighter. But a fighter with no class; no character. Sad.

  • All athletes (in every sport) should watch this video. True respect from two true warriors. It's all heart baby. RIP Thunder.

  • You absolutely never see two guys standing there admitting in front of each other right after the fight that they were hurt, tired, in danger of losing, etc. These guys not only respect each other but they're honest, good sports who don't bullshit themselves or the audience.

  • There is so much respect towards the other in the post fight interview. Great sportsmanship. Great fighters.

  • Much respect to both fighters. R.I. P. Gatti.

  • Gatti breaks his hand: "Of course I want to continue. It takes more than that to stop me in a fight". Imagine a soccer player if he broke his hand... which he doesn't even use in his sport.

  • There honesty is refreshing. Most fighters who get hurt in the ring don't admit it.

  • Yes, great trilogy, but the truth of the matter is that Mickey Ward was not the same fighter after the first fight. He was an old fighter already, and the first fight took what was left of him.

  • @vamoalla9 Didn't change the fact that they were all fascinating fights that were highly enbtertaining. These fights were about heart and courage and that's why they inspired.

  • haha my hand hurting, yet he did all this.. then i think david haye's little toe hahahahaaaaaa david needs to watch this and grow the fuck up! He can't call himself a fighter after seeing this! A boxer maybe, but not a fighter

  • after watching the fighter i wanted to more a bit more about mick ward......ive spent the last couple of hours watching gatti vrs ward 1 2 3.......wow..what fights..i though the first fight was the best....and the respect they show to eacthother....is great.....maybe david haye amir khan etc..could sit and watch this.....love both gatti and ward....and you find much more on them both......

  • their accents are really awesome

  • @Stoned1nDublin I changed my views on Larry Merchant after I saw him attack a fan during a live interview. I like Larry.

  • 2 really tough guys who luk xtremely cute wen they tok!!!! :))))

  • ....oh yeha not to mention: "no he stun me, i went down cuz i was stunned, i looked over to my corner and said DONT WORRY IMMA GET UP"

  • "nah i just wanted to let him know i hurt my hand, of course i wanted to continue, ya know it takes more then that to stop me in a fight, ya know i came here to win tonight..."

...sums up Gatti perfect (R.I.P my hero)

  • larry's an asshole...... "had nothin left?"

bwhahahahah lmfaoz, yea go fuckin see him vs. emanuel burton and alfonso sanchez or shea neary...

fuckin old stupid fuckin tiny dicked faggit lols asshole....

micky's a fuckin warrior and is the comback kid !!!! lols

  • Just great blokes Gatti and Ward :-)

  • @dianabol75 micky ward might not of had much talent but he had a lot of heart and you got to respect that same goes for arturo gatti

  • @dianabol75 Ehhh Gatti could be impressive at times. He could box and move pretty well when he felt like it. Problem is he didn't seem to feel like it much.

  • Larry Merchant just comes off as a dumbass. What true gentlemen. They both have positive things to say about each other...respect.

  • Such class acts! Thank you for posting all three of these fights.

  • So who won the overall matches?

  • @ryddethus

Gatti won fights 2 and 3. Ward won the first. After that fight, and retiring, Ward was in the corner of Gatti for the rest of Gatti`s fights. 2 amazing people-

  • @ryddethus gatti won 2-1

  • Two of the best fighters and gentlemans ever to bad gatti has gone to heaven

  • larry merchant is a fucking idiot ive been watching him do post fight interviews for like 15 years and im still waiting for one of the fighters to just knock him the fuck out NO ONE LIKES YOU LARRY DIE ALREADY

  • Two great fighters and sportsmen. I love the resepct they had for eachother. They could go into the ring and totally punish eachother and then have the utmost humility when it was all said and done. Nothing like the majority of chumps in boxing today!

  • They share water and talk to each other for 6 minutes after a fight. Mayweather can't even talk for two minutes after a fight without getting all defensive and angry, much less share a water.

  • Mickey Ward : RESPECT

  • It's all about RESPECT in the end.

  • Mickey Ward stands for everything that is good about boxing. This guy is the real life Rocky. Brings tears to my eyes to watch this humble warrior do what he does. Its a great thing they made a movie about his life because alot of non-boxing fans have never heard of him. This guy is a true legend - right up there with the likes of other Boston legends Larry Bird, Bill Russell, Tom Brady

  • @AngryDwarfHank

    +1!! True. RIP Arturo-

  • they have to do a sequal to "the fighter" based on this boxing trilogy.

  • Micky Ward: one of the few true sportsman left. Gatti as well; God rest his soul

  • Great fight!Too bad boxin won't give us the figbts we wanna see anymore!

  • anyone else think the interviewer is a twat? A Gatti/Ward fist sandwich would do him good.

  • arturo gatti once said --> ( i used to wonder what would happen if i met my twin?, Now i know!)

Micky Ward on gattis death ---> part of me died with him

Epic trilogy of fights, two amazing warriors, was great how these to became friends with ward even training gatti in his last fights, some people think boxings about unbeaten records and cheery picking opponents, to me its seeing two warriors like these to never giving up and fighting to the end and fighting anybody!

  • yeah you and mayweather can go suck eachother cocks off for all i care!!! We all know you got a hard on for floyd .but you also know that mayweather does not have half the hart gatti or ward had .

  • @dianabol75 Yes we will always remember mayweather for beating the big show at wrestlemania.DIANABOL YOUR A DOUCHEBAG!!!!!!!!!!!

  • mickey even sharing his water with gatti wow what a class act both these guys are i wis boxing would promote real fighters like these guys and not faggots like mayweather always ducking a good fighter

  • great times for boxing man, first it was don king and now is bob aurum and gayweather who are killing the beautifull sport of boxing.... FUCK U AURUM AND MAYWEATHER,

  • Two great blokes, true legends of boxing. And Gatti left us far too soon...RIP mate

  • both ward and gatti were incredible athletes, gentlemen an epitomy of good sportsmanship. don king wrecked boxing these two were never part of don kings circus. RIP Gatti

  • @wickednicestuff i couldn't agree with you more, boxing died when don king started to control the heavy weight division and it has never recovered, there are two or three good fighters in the lighter divisions but the h'weight div is a mess and doesn't look like recovering, there are too many micky mouse championship belts out there as well.

  • Won't see any fights like this for a long time.

  • I was very impressed with the fact they both admitted they were hurt. Most guys are interviewed after a knock out "No, he never hurt me..." These two guys were tough, classy fighters. Neither was the best in his division, but both were very, very good and both were very, very tough. Gatti's death remains a tragedy no matter how it went down.

  • micky ward is such a legend they broke the mould after making these 2 champions

  • real rocky stuff right here. real gentlemen, its a shame you don't get people like these nowadays!

  • u dont get them like this anymore

  • ever sharing water after the fight, probably two of the best sportsman ive ever seen

  • @estafuego8807 sportsmen*

  • THIS is what boxing, hell sports should be all about

You go at each other full on in the ring but before and after the fact they look like they're the best of friends. Much respect to both and esp RIP Gotti

  • I didn't think they made guys like this anymore

  • Am I old now? seriously

This is in this decade and yet today... the big fights are dropped over the most trivial things (you guys know what I'm talkin about).

Seriously, these 2 fought 3 times in just over a year and each fight they had duets for interviews...

    what happened after them?

and I don't just mean boxing, I'm talking combat sports... hel, all sports

It's all about b!tchin at the media like they're their mommas now

  • this is what fighting is all about. not about the money but all about heart

  • these heroes just confirm me more in my dislike of floyd mayweather jr.. Sorry but i just don't like him, his style and what he stands for. Mickey and Arturo are/were, pure warriors, LIONS!

  • NO Thats a Fucking WaRRIor..

all we have now are Pansys, Drama Queens and Bunch of Cowards

  • RIP Gatti! Great fight ! Great Trilogy

  • These guys put everything they had on the line and it was awesome, amazing trilogy of fights, i only dream of seeing fights like these days in boxing today

  • the connection between these two fighters is beautiful, its closer than that between a man and his wife

  • gatti: my hand ...

buddy: what do you want me to do about it

gattie : i gotta keep going

    what a fucking warrior

  • @texas4life88 mediocre fighter

  • two unbelievable fighters. two unbelievable men. this is why we watch this sport, for moments like these.

  • was just wondering does anybody have the viseo of them at the hospital after this fight?

  • One of the best trilogies of all time. Hadn't seen this interview since fight night. Thanks for posting.
