  • Am i the only one balling while listening to this?

  • Damn when I seen this scene I almost cryed. It was sad. In his own way he wanted to change the world, but how it went about it was wrong and he paid the price

  • @PrincessQPatsy its Death note anime OST dirge

  • Near and mellow were the worst idea's about the show.

  • @thewiseman15 I refuse to succumb to your opinion. The way you speak about it is as if it's a tautology. NO.

However you shouldn't bitch around and complain about those two characters and 'claim' that you LIKE the show. That invalidates your argument.

  • @technicallyhuman Actually yes you can like a show by hating Near and Mello. He could be those viewers who lost interest after the L arc.

  • Does ANYBODY know the name of the music that plays when Naomi Misora walks to her death?!! D:<

  • @PrincessQPatsy The song from that part is called Dirge

  • This song fits life post Steve Jobs. RIP

  • @ysinha2000 Steve Jobs suck compared to Light Yagami!

  • Light's biggest problem was, despite his intellect, he was very superficial. Not only did he kill numerous innocents, but he went for the most OBVIOUS of criminals. If he really gave it some thought, some of these corporate heads (like Monsanto or Haliburton) and these slimeball politicians (like Bush, Cheney or these 3rd world puppet gov'ts) woulda been dead. That woulda been the end of wars, sweatshops (slavery) and polution. Humanity would be ALOT better off.

  • Regardless of the title, this is one of the most haunting and emotionally stiring songs I've ever heard. And in the Death Note series, this song comes at a very bitter sweet time. As pissed as I was at Light Yagami, I couldn't help but feel bad for him.

  • @hare122275

Sorta highlights, that no matter the horrible things someone does, they still have so much potential for good and everything.

If we feel horrible for Light dying, then what about every single person he killed?

  • I want to know if anyone can answer this question. How did Ryuk trick the Shinigami king to get the second Deathnote?

  • @GunnyBunnyx He didn't, that Shiddoh guy lost his deathnote and Ryuuku picked it up. The shinnigami king didn't give him a second one.

  • @Ophion1990 He originally had 2 deathnotes, One he gave to light and the other he had on him. He tricked the shinigami king. Go over the first and second eps.

  • i hate near

he is so mean he killed light

    i kinda liked him

    light you are my hero

  • @Armin7Comando Ryuk killed Light technically. Or actually, Kira killed Light when you think about it.

  • This song just goes to show how quick life can be. One day you are as happy as can be with a loving family. The next.....you are lying on the ground struggling to live.

Brings tears to my eyes whenever I hear this song and think and think about how short Light's and L's lives were...

  • Light did the right thing by trying to cleanse the world, but he was many years too young to try it. He was too immature, and made too many mistakes. He killed numerous innocents, and he made choices that stopped him from being anonymous. Had he been more mature when he began his quest as Kira, Light could have won.

  • I say the true villian was Ryuk. He casued all of this by dropiong the death note cause he was jsut bored. He offered no help to a L or light and just wached like it was a game. Then hejust simply killed Light cause he was bored

  • @777WaterWolf you're right on that, but light had some to blame also. ryuk gave him the choice to use the death note, and light used it.

  • @777WaterWolf Ryuk was just the provider for the weapon. The seller isn't the villain, nor is the weapon itself. The evil is the person that uses the weapon in the first place. But in truth, Death Note has no real villain. Light wanted to save the world from corruption. He was a hero. He did stray, wanting to become God, and killing innocents, but at least he tried. Who else did? L was a hero also, stopping evil with his mind. No one was truly evil in the end.

  • @KuriballFTW6 And that's why the world is the way it is today. That kind of thinking. A weapon is a weapon, the provider is well aware of it's affects. Ryuk knew this all too well.

But you are entitled to your opinion. I don't want to argue over this, I'm just stating mine.

  • This BGM is played when Light Run. Final Chapter :'(!! I miss You Kira

  • Such a sad scene, even though Light was evil. The flashbacks also helped. It really gave you a chance to reflect on the awesomeness you had witnessed with this series.

  • So dramatic and depressing when Light runs away and sees himself as the "good (Light)" side.

  • Where can I download this?

  • i totally agree with Cronos844, light was a bastard

  • Ryuk:well light it looks like you've lost

  • Ryuk: It was fun while it lasted

  • Ryuk: We eased eachothers boredom for quite awhile

  • Well we can all know that L did alot though...Agree?

  • should be named..Lights death.... buaaaaa*crying*

  • light deserved to die!

  • amen to that

    LIGHT SUCKS

  • Huh, thought i had this on my playlist, but the uploader got banned. Anyways thanks for the upload

  • The reason it's called "L's Past" is that Light was L between the time L was and Near was, Near even says it, he's called the Second L but than he corrects him and makes him call him the third L. The reason it's called L's PAST is because this plays as Light passes an area he passed when he first found the Death Note and passes him, symbolizing the loss of his innocence.

  • YES! Light in his last moment gets that he becomes corrupted by the power, maybe as Near said "You are just a serial killer corrupted by the power of the Shinigami". And I think, so, he has a honorable and sad death, having in mind Ryuuzaki at the end, the max symbol of his rivalism, just watching him with no fight.

  • Light's death in there was no way honorable in the manga

  • @Flaremancer Light doesn't pass such an area and you're yet another of those biased people who treat pro-Kiras like they don't exist.

  • @terribleletsplay

Actually he did, in the very last episode.

    SPOILER ALERT:

As Light dies, he walks near the rail road tracks that he walked by when he was a high school student. As dying Light continues to walk, he literally passes his 'high school self' who was still innocent and had yet to discover a Death Note. I guess you could say that his life 'flashed before his eyes.' Anyway, it highlights Light's descent from Innocent-JusticeLoving-Light to being Kira-'IAmGod'-Light.

  • This is so sad and beautiful.

  • I think of this song when it rains and im coming home and i feel sad bout L. Anyone agree w/t me?

  • sorta im mad that light died to though his idea was perfect to bad he was to power hungry he would have ben fine if he never killed ray or the first fake l they would never had ben able to find him

  • ); this song is so sad death note is my #1 anime show and well always be #1 RiP L-Light

  • so sad...it suit L...

  • Where can I download this???

  • This song is really sad wen it plays at the end :(

  • YEa it may be only all the flashbacks and light crying though. listening to it reminds me of death note before i finished it and how L dies and Rem goes bye bye
