  • I Believe This Was A Video Clip Of NBC News' Today's Report On Eyelash Transplants For Cancer Survivor On Monday Morning, April 2, 2007.

  • @radiodj1520 Yes. Eyelash transplants for cosmetic and reconstructive purposes started to become more popular around 2006.

  • Eyelash transplantation is about $3000 per eye and eyebrow transplantation is about $2000 per eye. The results are permanent, which makes eyelash transplantation less costly than extenstions or medications (like Latisse) over time.

  • Hello I'm a male/26 and I struggle with OCD called Trichotillomania,I'm missing most of my eyelashes and eyebrows and I need to know if It's possible to get implants with fake eyelashes and eyebrows or maybe like a donor if there is one?

  • Are you still pulling? As long as you have not pulled at your lashes for over one year, you can have eyelash transplantation to restore the missing or damaged lashes. The lashes are not fake, the follicles are transplanted from your own scalp.

  • Yes I've quite pulling long time ago,as a kid I didn't know or think that they wouldn't grow back.I'm missing most of them on both eyes, the wind makes them move, some are barley holding on.How many follicles can be placed in(enough so the wind won't make them move or so it looks normal?)I'm guessing the hair would continue to grow, would I have to trim it with scissors or do you offer some special tool?I rather just have fake lashes implanted and not worry about triming,is that even possible?

  • One more thing how much does it cost for each eye and eyebrows?Thank you.

  • The transplanted lashes do grow long, so you need to trim them. We have a special scissors that is available to help you trim the eyelashes safely. For local patients, we offer eyelash styling (trimming, tinting and perming) if desired.

  • Actually, we ARE using the follicle--the organ in the skin which produces the hair. Once the follicles are transplanted to the lid, they produce hair there permanently.

Cool thing to do but it looks as if the tips of the hair are used? The roots should be used because they are stronger, harder and newer.

  • xoxopjoxox: Oh, and all his info says in the end of the film, lol

  • whats the doctors name?

and do you know where his office is?
