  • Even there are kids singing versions of Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera songs..

  • Jo Wyatt has such a great voice! No wonder she was chosen for Lady Hawke in Dragon Age 2!

  • "If anybody looks at a skinny-legged, flat-chested, spindly 11 year old and thinks of that as a sex object, there's something wrong with them mate"...

Er... yeah, there IS something wrong with them, "mate"... which is exactly why baiting their sick fantasies with little kids in a gallon of makeup singing about being turned on is irresponsible. This guy's constant repetition of the defense that anyone who sees anything wrong with this must be Pedo Bear just makes me want to sock him in the eye.

  • before the gutter press got obsessed with paedos.......

  • @BlondLittleAngels your whining about a show about kids pretending to be popstars.

  • wow! thanks! i had soo many of their vinyls. and wish i could get more. loved them growing up

  • ...now why does a 7 year old girl need a man after midnight? Listen to the song that the little children are singing? really? what ever happened to the wizard of oz?

  • kids should be singing kid songs! Not becoming sex objects and shaking their little ass's around. Look at how freaky these children look with all that make up! They look like fucking creapy little chucky dolls!

  • SORRY but children should not be dancing around to "grown up music" and wearing make up and sexy outfits. I was born around the time the mini pops came out so I can only see what was back then. I wasn't alive yet, but looking at the footage on youtube. I agree that mini pops was/is a bad idea, sound like a couple of chipmunks singing! Let children be children. Teenage years is another thing. Why sex up babies? sick bastards!

  • i love the way she is cavorting around with greasy french sailors!

  • You want evidence why humanity must be exterminated? I present you with exhibit A.

  • "If you were a pedo this is exactly what you'd be looking for"? Seriously? HE is the guy who creeps me out, the guy who sees that and thinks about pedo's. Local parks are also a pedo's playground if you'll pardon the pun, might as well get rid of them too.

  • The just sang pop songs lots of kids having ago at being in a music video.

  • There is a dark side to child stars. Look up Frankie Lymon, Darren Burn, Lena Zavaroni, and the lead singer from Musical Youth. Let kids be kids and live out their stardom fantasies in their bedrooms in front of the mirror with hairbrushes for mics - the entertainment industry is *NO* place for them.

  • i would be the most embarrassed child if that were my mum 6:09

  • Right side of 2:34 is pretty creepy.

  • I had the record as a kid. It was nice to see someone my age at the time singing and having fun. I did not know all this back story. Thanks for posting.

  • They sound like Alvin and the Chipmunks. Not at all pleasant I must say! Bleh! Why the hell did he have his ouw daughter singing "Stupid Cupid" to grown men??? Why was dear old dad letting her sit on the lap of a GROWN MAN as she sang that to him?? The father was "proud" what a freak.

  • Im guessing gary glitter was a big fan of this show.

  • I love the mini pops. my Grandma hads there record i use to listen to it all the time.

  • i never seen the show cause i wasnt born then, but growing up, i used to watch it all the time with my sister cause we had it on VHS..and we loved it lol..us and our cousins would always dance along and sing the songs...that was in like 92, it was just so good lol

  • I disagree with what Toyah when she said that you'd never see this today. The show shows , pretty much, the same kind of 'acts' that you'd see in any of the American child pagents. Personally, I think that they're creepy

  • But Toyah's fake outrage toward the end of the show is incredibly hypocritical. Keep in mind that influences of her music would be present in this show, and it sounds like she doesn't want to take full responsibility for it.

  • Look at those legs! They are soo skinny

  • omg i loved that show when i was a kid.

  • me too

  • So did I, I soooooo wanted to be a mini pop

  • upload iko iko vid i wanna show it to my friends

  • i recently found a local place that can convert my VHSs to DVD so i should be able to upload the videos soon

Iko Iko is one i have (maybe the only slightly shocking one ive seen!)

  • were they kind of like kids incorporated like did they act and stuff or just sing do you happen to have any full epiosds?

  • umm well the videos I have look like they're just song clips from the show so, I don't think they are full episodes I never saw the orignal show so I don't really know sorry.

  • ok thats fine ill see what i can read up on it they dont really have alot on the show is what gets me

  • I love the songs of Joanna Wyatt. I have two videos of her on my page.

  • Joanna Wyatt... didn't she go on to play Luna?

  • yup, she was Luna in season 2

  • Check out my clip of LUNA starring Patsy Kensit!

  • I LOved the Mini pops

  • upload more minipops clips pleasze

  • No - please don't

  • I used to have a minipops christmas cassett. One of the songs was "little donkey" and the other song I remember was "Why can't we love each other all year round." ...

Anyone know where I can get a copy of the tape again? I lost it many years ago and can't seem to find it on ebay or anything.

  • I remember this ...I must have been about 7 or somthing...I remember being bitterly dissapointed that they werent the proper pop stars LOL....

  • Alll I can say is ... Minipops is a programme I definitely don't remember seeing/hearing about at the time. Reason - new channel 4

  • Hey Remember "Brown Girl In The Ring?"

Good song. I love them all though.

There aren't too many songs on this site of the Mini Pops.

  • its part of the Disco Medley ill send it to u if u want

  • Sounds good Thank you.

I was singing it and my daughter hadn't heard it.

  • lmao...no offence but that sounds so suggestive...wasnt it "brown girl in the rain " ?...I could be wrong....

  • its "brown girl in the ring" for sure

  • ahh...I must be thinking of something else =P

  • arrrrrrrrrrrrgh my mum recorded that stupid girl singing that stupid cupid song!!!!!!I wanted Bananarama...NOT that stupid kid!!!!Aaaah it still annoys me today (faints)...and i must say the stupid girl has turned into a stupid woman....argh

  • you wouldnt still have that fabulous Stpuid Cupid vid? would you?

  • What a throwback!! Awesome! At the time the Mini-pops ruled....and were responsible for me taking an early interest in music.....One of my first and favorite records as a child. Thanks for posting

  • 1 9 8 0 ´s RULES!

  • 1980's wooot woot woot.

My husband "claims" to have basically skipped the 80's music, yet he can sing along with all of them.

    Hmmmm, scratching my head.

  • I loved the mini pops. Still have an old cassette of theirs... lol!

  • OMG! Ginger kid at the end with pink bows is Penelope something or other - and you HAD to call her Penelope and not shorten it or her mum would go mad!!!!

  • that group is so disturbing.

  • thanks so much for posting this! fantastic!

  • It was pretending. They dressed up like stars and sang songs.. and I LOVED IT! I listened to my one tape so much, and I knew the words to all kinds of top 40 songs from oldies to 80s. I still love the 80s!

  • yea i bought some tapes and love them! (Rocket to the Stars is the best!) i wished theyd like release the shows as DVD or somthing! i love it!
