But I guess the reality is that the manipulative people who know money get the most of it even though they don't contribute nearly as much.

Bavarian Motors are making awesome cars right now. Surpassing that of Cadillac and Lexus. They were lagging behind because of some form of recession however their back on Track. Japanese automakers are working hard and fast evolving their cars to beat the best out there.

As much as I hate BMW I gotta say this is smart engineering... which they learned from the Japanese of course. Automation is very very cool! I love robots all the way. They don't demand health care, pay raises, lunch breaks.,go on labor strikes or even belong to an union. in fact, they can work longer than 8-hour days and they don't talk back complaining.

U be lucky but there wont be 50 assembly line workers replaced by 50 mechanics for inspection+maintenance. You alone work at an robot that replaces more than one man. So in absolute numbers jobs education will be lost.

Academics, scientists, leaders (and robotsitters of course) will be the only jobs in the First World to be carried out by humans. not really cool...

Our grandchildren will have to choose between beeing an egghead oder unemployed... or goin to a poor country were human labor is still wanted.

You've got a point. Robots have taken many jobs over years, but many jobs will remain at them, because many, many employees have to inspect for quality. I know, because I work at one.

very true, currently robots do not have the ability to inspect quality or even adjust itself when unpredicted problems occurs, however within the next 50 years, robots will have "eyes" and even better than eye's mechanisms such as ultra sound and x ray for quality inspections.

You are very correct, Robots will have have all physical function and simple to complex human brain functions. robots will have "eyes" to scan for quality and the ablility to debug itself and even upgrade/evolve itself. This will be accomplished within the next 50 years. People in the future will look at the at us as the last generation of human physical labor.

The jobs are already gone. If they're not taken over by robots they get outsourced. I say it's better to be done by robots because this way they stay in the country of the company (not to mention robotics itself employs a lot of people in maintenance and design)
