  • I worked there and one time the big red sign FELL OFF the building. It was hilarious. We all heard this super loud crash sound and ran outside and the sign was laying on the ground broken up. Luckily nobody was under it when it fell.

  • I miss Circuit City :(

  • I wish Curcut City wold reopen, but Best Buy and all the oter guys will crush it again

    :'(

  • Wrangler, Pick Me Up, Mixed Signals must be the stupidest commercial of all-time. I mean since when TV's, Cameras have legs?

  • 1:01 Juan Conde, LOL!!! I remember seeing him at the Virginia State Fair back in 1991. Back then, he was a radio DJ doing a live remote. He handed me a stack of PayDay candy bar coupons said "Go rot your teeth out."

Wow, Divx, what a flaming piece of crap....

  • first time i've seen someone say the word Jadakiss on TV and not got shot

  • "imagine That" lol nuff' said...

  • We used to have a Circuit City in Fort Worth!

  • Has anyone heard of a commercial from 2005-2006-ish with a kid playing video game? I know the kid in the commercial.

  • @RGaffney43 i remember it!!!!who was that kid????

  • @TheNascarfan14 I don't know the kid very well, so I don't want to give out his name. But I do know him! He was talking about being in it, and I wanted to find the commercial.

  • DIVX died a quick death! (Thank the digital gods for that one.) LOL

  • If Circuit City started in 1949, then what is the oldest CC commercial they have? Do they have commercials before 1987 to the very beginning?

  • Dude I remeber when Dvd's came out, and I thought to myself who the fuck is going to buy this shit!!!! Its so expensive and my tape collection will never die!!!!! Fuck I was wrong but I still have about 25 Beta Tapes (with the beta player) and about 150 VHS that I will not get rid of!!!!!!

  • Amazing to see how much DVD players have come down from $349.99 to $39.99...

  • lol @1:15, I had the same amount of Gold "expert" stickers when I left the company.

  • 3:22 I have a feeling that's how they went out of buisness...

  • I remember the one with the plug

  • I had a divix player long ago, i didn't even know what the fuck a divix was! but it played dvds as well.

  • The DivX guy is Juan C. from WRIC TV-8

  • wow, what a difference in advertising from 1999 to 2000

  • 6:38 I wonder if they still stand behind their "lifetime guarantee" on Firedog services?

  • Nice closing sequence. Circuit City was 60 years old when it was out of business. SO SAD. :,(

  • i heard that their coming back! under new management.

  • That friggin' nu School promotion... What the HELL were we thinking?

  • I miss my job so much! I cant believe Ccity is gone =( This makes me want to cry!

  • I like how Circuit City will hook me up with Gifts To Love :)

  • LOL JUAN CONDE (Richmond news host) which is appropriate considering they were a richmond chain

  • they just had to open up 65 stores in 2007

  • one of those 65 stores was my store 4261which i happened to opean with and close with, we were actually #1 in sales for 6 months, so i think the new stores payed for themselves, but it was dumb, and the drive to 65, waste of money, i miss it tho

  • Circuit City just got greedy that what happened.

  • 5:16 this is how it all started

  • Divx! Another reason for CC to die!

  • You didn't include the closing sales. ;)

  • Lmfao, who would use a computer that shitty.

  • So sad. So many memories and it's going out of business

  • I like the old school music.

  • I remember that 2000 "Day Dream" ad on television a lot... haven't thought of Divx in whatt seems like a long time.

  • So much for the "lifetime guarantee" from firedog (at 6:41). I guess it was Circuit City's lifetime they were talking about.

  • DIVX was an early indicator of the demise of Circuit City. Netflix obviously killed it.
