  • Saw Cheng beat Waldner in Atlanta in 95. Waldner was pretty pissed at himself. Waldner went to China that same year and beat Wang Tao and MaWenge in the team competition. Went duce in the 5th before bowing out to Liu Guilang. Also Cheng has one of the best forehand flips ive seen at any level

  • wow i never knew my ping pong coach Cheng Yinghua was so good

  • ROFL

you guys are ripping on Cheng when you don't realize when Chen was young, he could beat Waldner, Chen Longcan, and all those other people

  • poor playing....can u just imagen what wang ligin can do to these semi-professional players..

  • Sadly people don't take it seriously here in the states... I think it's the most entertaining sport to watch live. But in America, theres no money in it.

  • not for long

  • Eri Owens shouldn't let that incident get to him mentally. His game was way off afer that agruement. I have seen him play & met him in person. He is a cool guy but sometime we let our emotions get in the way.

  • The U.S needs more players lol

the chinese freaking have a crazy olympic program for table tennis..

  • Why did Owens get so sour after Cheng hit the ball with his playing hand? Did he want Cheng to apologize? Seemed like an eternity that Owens had his hands on his hips.

  • Because the ball hit Cheng's finger and then still hit his racket and thus was a double hit. It should have been Owens point, but the referee couldn't make the call because he didn't hear or clearly see this happen.

  • Wow, I dindn't know the American table tennis level was that bad... I hope the players in this video aren't representative... that would mean: a looooooong way to go...

  • I'm afraid this is the best of the best for us...The US just doesn't take it seriously enough.

  • Indeed, north americans are bad table tennis players.

  • sigh.. they're our elite players.

  • The two players you see are the best players in USA.

  • Actually no, they're not. The two best are Ilija Lupulesku 3 times US champion and Olympic silver medalist in doubles, and David Zhuang 6 time US champion. These two are the 5th and 10th best.

  • Eric Owens is soooooo soft. World's top players will eat him for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

  • what about brunch?

  • They'll eat the rest of the Americans at brunch...

  • thx for posting

  • i see us!!!!!!!!
