You do this so beautifully. I wonder if you know a fiddle player who could lay down a sweet drone beneath it? It's perfect as is, but a low fiddle, or a cello perhaps, to add the bass would be wonderful. I came to this tune late, having only discovered it in 1983 when Mark Knopfler arranged a piece of it for the movie soundtrack of "Local Hero." Lovely. But yours is much truer sounding. Beautiful.

thanks. John Renbourn's version has a nice celtic flute take one or two chorus. I love the sound of his recording. the whole album "black balloon" just has that really haunting sound to it.
