Ok....well you guys need to work on your rythm and your moves. tightening up your rythm together as a couple......obviously you did this for fun....nothing else. It was pretty bad and at times dificult to watch

Sure it's not specifically EC, WC or Lindy...But there's not really a wrong way to "swing dance" as long as you're having fun with it although I do recommend trying to stay on beat haha.

@KrazynessNetwork Jitterbug isn't actually a specific swing dance, It's actually a general term for any swing dance. Most people associate the term with East Coast Swing, but the term originated with Cab Calloway in the mid 1930s when the only swing dance at the time was the Lindy Hop.

So if you swing dance, maybe you should take some more lessons to recognize what is real swing dancing.

@basketjab . Every goddamn dance vid I see has some step-stickler criticizing the dancers for "inauthenticity" or some shit like that. Did they ASK you? I suppose the people who actually danced back when this way were always, like: "You botched that Lindy Hop. Go take a bunch of lessons before dancing again". It was an enjoyable video, not a goddamn doctoral thesis on dance. GOD!

I enjoyed this! but if you would be interested in moving on to the next level of expertise I would loosen your lower body a little bit! feel the music! you seem a bit stiff. Swing is called swing for a reason. Especially if you are trying to jitterbug!

Ya man, you would be surprised...bars and such are actually starting to turn to jazz type music more and more...usually not rag time, free jazz or dixieland, but I do hear cool jazz, bebop and swing. It's always nice to know how to dance to what the band is playing. Oh, and I am 22 so not really a kid, but not too terribly old either.

Try dancing "Mr. Zoot Suit by the Flying Neutrinos" as Fraser at Blast From the Past. Here in Brazil we love dancing "Forró", there is some steps like some you did... grabbed back flip, that thing with the hands over the head and turns...
