Just wondering if your bat black changed to a better consistency after leaving it sit out for some time. I bought one and mine came with a little oil on top and like u i was hoping the use it as a based for intense smokey eyes...Oh in this video are you wearing Calypso Minerals?? I love the blue shadow! I was kinda bummed I never got around to getting the rainbow stacker before the business started getting a bad rep.
The grease paint stick doesnt need to be rubbed to work. I found it great! It has purple shimmers and it glides on and pretty much stays on. I like it WAY better than the bat black.

I bought the Young punk eyeshadow a few days ago , really nice and good lasting effect. I put it on in the morning as I am a big fan of dramatic make up and it doesn't need to be touched up or anything at all..brilliant !!
I tried that transluscent black lip gloss and I think it look awful cause it make ur lip look like ur loosing color on ur lips cause ur too cold or something, but maybe ur right it might need to be used over a lipstick cause on its own it AWFUL!!

Hi Julia! - I bought Luna CCB from Mac a while ago and it was just the same, very slippery with bits of oil on the top. However after a little while it settled on its own, and is now a lovely, much drier consistency. Hope your Bat Black works out the same way! :) x
the bat black does have a different consistency I was going to purchase both bases but my mac makeup artist said to just get the black because the bat black was too creamy as a base the black one has the much better consistency & does not crease!
i got that blackfire glimmer gloss =] i actually liked it and i don't like dazzle glasses .... i donno i like the light purple blackish tint on my lips haha

And the people who can't work with the grease stick are people who don't know how to properly work with that product. It sets fast but it is very workable. The grease sticks are waaaaaaaaaaay better than the shade sticks. I bought all 3. Best MAC investment Ive made in a long time.
This was truly the best collection of the year. Even better than Hello Kitty to me. I looked at the Holiday collection and the rest of the year forecast and this is by far the best!

i love the mineral eyeshadows but you can't wear them dry. they look really pretty but the sparkles won't stay on for very long so you just end up with black eyeshadow. i got two of the greasepaint sticks from the dsquared collection and they are hard to blend and do dry fast
the greasestick is waterproof....i looooved it though...it doesn't crease at all. i got all of the eyeshadows, they were my fave....and the glimmerglass you got, which i have...looks awesome over pink lipsticks!!!! love the vid!
I think this collection is awesome! I really like the shadows, and lip colors...I tend to lean toward the same shades that you like especially in the fall, I think they are beautiful! Looking forward to the upcoming tutorials!!
Could it be that the bronze cream is dryer b/c it's got flecks of glitter and the other one doesn't? I've always found that that makes a huge difference in consistancy.
i asked the mua about the geasesticks and she said that you will have to blend/smudge (recommends a stiffer brush to blend) it out before it sets. once it sets, it won't be as blendable (she did a quick demo for me too), once it sets, it will last much longer than the shadestick.
I think you should pick up the greasepaints! I hate shadesticks for the reason you mentioned...pulling on the skin. Greasepaints are wayyyyyy better. I was able to blend mine out pretty well. Definitely at least pick up the black. Great HAUL!!! Love those deep colors!
I wonder for your eyeshadow base....if u couldn't put Alcohol in it...like spritz it...with 99% proof...?..or u can put it in the fridge...as all other grease..it would harden up...Like maybe not leave it in there for long or anything.....but even an hour..might do it..?

Hey! Just so you know..I bought the batblack cream color base as well and also found it a bit slippery. However, after one day it' seems to have dried out very nicely...the oily surface is completley gone and after wearing it all day today under "young punk" I'm pleased to report that it did not crease at all!
yeah its really hard to blend but I think its worth it to get those eyeshadows looking so cool. I'm uber paranoid about ruining my eyeshadows with water so I just deal with it being hard to work withXD
You should reconsider the grease paint stick, honestly. I hate shadesticks bc they tug on my eyes so badly, but the grease stick glides on wonderfully, and shockingly didn't crease. I think it blends pretty well, as long as you do it IMMEDIATELY. It does dry quickly! Great review!
yeah its the fast drying time I didn't like, because I'm slow lol - I just prefer to have a bit more time to work with a product and I heard its a bit hard to remove. I just have to be a bit more careful with my eyelid skin
Yeah, I'm totally with you... I'm like hyper careful with the eye area because I have concerns about anti-aging and dryness, crepiness (ew!), so I am sensitive to those products as well. It is hard to be quick when you're trying to create a good eye shape. I'm so jealous of people with more oil on their eyes that can just glide shadesticks on! I used TFSI under it, but I wonder if using a paint pot would give you more time to work with the paint stick before it sets... Maybe I'll try that.
I got the straight black cream colored base, and mine had condensation on it too. I just use it VERY sparingly when I put it on, but I also put it on over UDPP. It doesn't crease on me.
I bought Bat Black and used it as an e/s base (with 100 Strokes and Twinks over it). It ended up creasing HORRIBLY in just minutes. Leaving it open for a few days seems like a good idea, I'll probably do that as well.
i bought the black regular lipstick and the black gloss just for novelty's sake. i don't particularly like the lipstick because it's kind of sheer, but if you used it with a lip liner i think it would work really well. the plain black gloss i really like because it looks good over black lipstick, but you can also use it to change the color of your lipstick and make it darker. the only drawback to it is that it doesn't look good by itself.
i really appreciate your honest opinion about these new products. most tubers are saying how wonderfully great they are, and to hear you speak about what you like and what you do like is very refreshing, and helps me make a more informed decision on what to buy or not to buy. thanks a bunch!

On the mineral eyeshadows if you are going to use it wet - do not wet it in the palette itself as it really melts into the shadow and can ruin it. Take out a bit and wet it on something else. Hope that makes sense. On the Bat Black I would call MAC and see if it is supposed to do that as yours might be defective. They have always been very nice when I called. Love you and your videos.
I don't know what this black bat was made for, but here in France there's a new kind of smokey eye, which is some kind of smokey but more "trash" and definitely is little bit more "wet" I don't know how to describe it, but I think it would be perfect to do that with this consistency. You can read about it in any french magazine (elle or whatever) ...
i want this collection so bad!!! they would be my first mac products though lol but it's perfect for me because i am of that gothic, punk, style and nature that's just who i am lol
their textures are different cause remember broze is a frost bat black is not and i have one form the ungaro collection crushed bougainvillea and its a little slippery but keep in mind that is a cream finish not a frost like bronze..
im super surprised you didnt get any of the polishes that came out with this collection... makeupbytiffanyd has a haul vid with the polishes and they look amazing
I only liked one of the polishes, the green shimmer one, and there's one by China Glaze that's a great dupe for it so it's cheaper. They just looked too black for me.

Lay a tissue on top to soak up the oil. Some of the blush creams can be oily too.

You should try laying a paper towel over it (the creamy black one) for a bit or maybe even over now and it might suck all the oils out.

I totally agree with AMYLOUO...I also purchased the grease paint and I love it. I have very oily eyelids and I did not have any creasing with it.

You should reconsider the grease paint stick, honestly. I hate shadesticks bc they tug on my eyes so badly, but the grease stick glides on wonderfully, and shockingly didn't crease. I think it blends pretty well, as long as you do it IMMEDIATELY. It does dry quickly! Great review!

yeah its the fast drying time I didn't like, because I'm slow lol - I just prefer to have a bit more time to work with a product and I heard its a bit hard to remove. I just have to be a bit more careful with my eyelid skin

Yeah, I'm totally with you... I'm like hyper careful with the eye area because I have concerns about anti-aging and dryness, crepiness (ew!), so I am sensitive to those products as well. It is hard to be quick when you're trying to create a good eye shape. I'm so jealous of people with more oil on their eyes that can just glide shadesticks on! I used TFSI under it, but I wonder if using a paint pot would give you more time to work with the paint stick before it sets... Maybe I'll try that.

I got the straight black cream colored base, and mine had condensation on it too. I just use it VERY sparingly when I put it on, but I also put it on over UDPP. It doesn't crease on me.

I bought Bat Black and used it as an e/s base (with 100 Strokes and Twinks over it). It ended up creasing HORRIBLY in just minutes. Leaving it open for a few days seems like a good idea, I'll probably do that as well.

i bought the black regular lipstick and the black gloss just for novelty's sake. i don't particularly like the lipstick because it's kind of sheer, but if you used it with a lip liner i think it would work really well. the plain black gloss i really like because it looks good over black lipstick, but you can also use it to change the color of your lipstick and make it darker. the only drawback to it is that it doesn't look good by itself.

On the mineral eyeshadows if you are going to use it wet - do not wet it in the palette itself as it really melts into the shadow and can ruin it. Take out a bit and wet it on something else. Hope that makes sense. On the Bat Black I would call MAC and see if it is supposed to do that as yours might be defective. They have always been very nice when I called. Love you and your videos.

I don't know what this black bat was made for, but here in France there's a new kind of smokey eye, which is some kind of smokey but more "trash" and definitely is little bit more "wet" I don't know how to describe it, but I think it would be perfect to do that with this consistency. You can read about it in any french magazine (elle or whatever) ...

their textures are different cause remember broze is a frost bat black is not and i have one form the ungaro collection crushed bougainvillea and its a little slippery but keep in mind that is a cream finish not a frost like bronze..

I only liked one of the polishes, the green shimmer one, and there's one by China Glaze that's a great dupe for it so it's cheaper. They just looked too black for me.
