I don't even know why we're fighting about which MMORPG is better, the fact is they we're/are both excellent to different people, they both had their glory days, and for some people they still do, I personally play both, very extensively, and I can tell you that both games are so insanely different in atmosphere, gameplay, mechanics, and concept, that neither one should be compared to eachother, I like both, and have played both for years. Long live good MMORPGs!

WoW has been around for 5 years and about 9 months, same as everquest. Two awesome games were released in November 2004. But Warcraft was made in 1994 and the first everquest in 1999, and WoW is based on the Warcrafts. And WoW may be costly, but the people just pay for a much better game. Everquest may had 16 expansions and WoW 3, but what does that matter. No one can beat WoW, whether made before or after.

I only just got the trial 4 days ago so I know how you will feel.

1. Its $15 per month, US of course.

2. If ever you played wow, its an adjustment, just be patient and enjoy the game dont obsess about leet gear and levelling.

3. I found that there isnt as much online help, try the wiki and browse forums. Also dont get hung up on class/race just go for one and run with it.

4. Also ask more experienced gamers in game for help, they are much nicer than wow gamers and arent all under 15.

Thanks for this comment... While people who have played EQ1 will find many improvements here, the game hardly welcomes newcomers.

With few resources to reference when learning to play, so many race/class choices making it look way more complex than it is, it's just not very welcoming.

I would only suggest getting into this game, or any mmo, if you have a friend or two to play with, and a lot of time to learn the basics.
