vx....You really should not have posted the title as you did, it's false and misleading for the contents you posted. Nobody is bitching about your post description..even though it's a novel in itself.
Read again..."IT'S YOUR TITLE" that is pissing everyone off!!!!
Dude, you titled it as showing the explosion, yet you didn't show us the explosion. You should change the title and learn to impress people on youtube.
I was at the 38th st. Petco when it happened. It was so loud! I remember the lights flickering and us hoping the power would go out so we could go home and then the shockwave hit and shook the whole building. The row of windows in the front of the store actually flexed in and out numerous times! Went outside and it was just the huge plume of smoke. On the drive home though, I kind of wondered if you'd post something, lol.
Nice footage. Like everyone else, i pretty much figured you would be there and bring back some great footage. Hopefuly those that were injured aren't injured badly and will make full recoveries, although I do know they airlifted one to Harborview because of severe burns
yes and that person died. That's why it pisses me off so much when all these stupidass jackasses sit there and make all these videos of explosions in "slow mo" and laugh and cheer and all that s***. There's nothing funny about it. Everyone wants an explosion I guess (same as the saying everyone loves an accident).
I didn't laugh when covering this story. I'm a newsphotographer. Your right. this isn't funny. It's very serious. It's a story that needed to be told. It sucks that it had a bad ending.
i knew you would be there :) quite a big story! it appeared all the news crews were having a hard time getting good shots, except KIRO that had their chopper out (which i didn't know they did on Saturdays). good pictures. ttyl
yah, no kidding. i'm surprised that even the chopper was able to get some pics tho because i know they closed down the surround air space (i think 5 mile radius). but maybe they got there before that.
i was actually surprised with how many people took pictures of the fire/explosion with their phones and cameras. i guess this will only become more common as technology grows.
That surprised me too. Some very good explosion shots. Bu at the same time some that were lame or badly shot also aired. The FD had a helicopter over the scene for a while KIRO stayed a good distance out. I think what may have promoted the no fly zone was the plane the Seattle PI had to use to take photos. They flew in a very tight circle and much lower than the FD helecopter. I'm going to upload another Atlas Foundry fire from a few years ago. It's the aftermath damage.
Thanks for the video. I am surprised that you were able to film the fire as much as you did. It appears that the tank you were filming was venting, which is a good thing with regard to explosion. We train several times a year at the North Bend fire academy on propane tank props. Never had to fight a venting tank fire in real life though. Keep those videos coming!
wish they would have moved the branches out of the way

@KnittingPasta I would have liked to have done that, but unfortunately the branches were out of reach.

Kudos to you for being one of the very few people on Youtube to have the courage to admit fault and rectify the situation, THANK YOU!!!

It's very rare that they do that on a weekend. This event more than qualified! :)
