  • It is always nice to hear other peoples thoughts on chi. The reason people say not to practice chi kung in the wind is for beginners their ability to hold on to the chi is not develop enough. Once you practice for awhile and develop your awareness and ability to move chi then this is not a major concern anymore. You can actually use the wind to expand your awareness farther out from your body.

  • Everything is energy and what he is doing is beautiful. He is so still and peaceful in his movements.

  • the wind is coming from him. don't you see? :)

  • qi gong= internal energy,qi, gong =work

  • Just what I need. Can feel the "ancient" coming from the ground! Cheers.

  • Is it good to practice on such strong wind? How much energy one can accumulate in such wind?

  • Most sources say that it is best to practice out of the wind. Although it's because the pores open during chi gong which can get you sick if you're exposed to colder temps or airborne illness. I don't think he has any worry of airborne illnesses getting him. The wind may be warm enough that he doesn't have to worry.

As far as I know it's the body of water behind him plus the wind that could charge the air he breaths. I think it's always important to note that this is based off mostly Toaist

  • you said what i wanted to but more in-depth

  • @ninjapepper840 As in the 5 elements, some people are affected by cold, or by cold/wind, or by heat, etc. This depends upon the condition of the elements in the individual practitioner, as not all practitioners are the same.

As the student becomes a 'master', his/her original 5 element condition becomes more balanced, and fortified by a surplus of KI.

To him, the wind, cold, heat make no difference.
