That is really a good way to put the difference between an incandescent bulb and a CFL bulb into perspective. Great job!
I love CFL bulbs and YES sometimes things they can be annoying like when I just happen to get one that takes forever to brighten up.
I have about a dozen CFL bulbs and only 2 have a 30 second warm up time.
Give CFL bulbs a try.
BEWARE of the ones at the dollar store. Stick to Wal-Mart, Lowe's, Home Depot and other well known stores.
