47% of those couple have children and yet politicians responsible for deportation let this horrible deportation to take place. I would be so angry If I was one of them
@norishman77609 The government doesn't acknowledge the holy matrimony of marriage. That is the job of a religion, or the individual. The government only provides a civil law defining marriage, which can be applied to an atheist, Muslim or Jew's marriage. Civil marriage is that legal bond ,and its existed from before the enlightenment, only it has discriminated against gays. If I wanted to get married, I would get a civil marriage which then could privately be recognised by an accepting religion.
Move to Canada boys. None of this two faced hypocritical discrimination up here. USA = Land of the free? More like land of the oppressed. Canada is more free! Never been more proud to be a Canadian.
@filmcomposition Really? The Creation of a separate Gender by default makes same sex marriage wrong? That's the best you can do?

@ToastyZack That's just a dumb way to look at it. Wikipedia says we let over a million immigrants become citizens in 2008. So far we have let zero immigrants become citizens through same sex marriage. It doesn't take a genius to figure out which approach is more likely to allow you in. This couple is just trying to make a bet that this law will be overturn on some moral grounds (Wouldn't hold my breath). Regardless of what you think of the law, it isn't smart to ignore more viable alternatives.
@speedolight186000 Human rights aren't a crutch; they're to protect your leg from being broken in the first place. Deportation, especially when the facts presented above say that he's here legally, is far from a frivolous matter. NAMBLA has nothing to do with this discussion; neither of the men above are pedos, as far as I know. If it's a decision at five to be gay, when exactly did you decide to be straight? When did you make that conscious, self-aware decision?
Did anyone notice that Henry didn't answer the question of how he went from a visitors visa to a married man sponsored by his husband?? I think it's unfair that they are being separated but we must think rationally first in order to help them better. America is a very prejudiced country although people are trying to change that, but there are opportunists. This needs to be investigated by IMPARTIAL and TOTALLY OPEN-MINDED people. Only then can they be helped.
@speedolight186000 The Bible has nothing to do with human rights. The Bible sanctions slave ownership and stoning people for working on the Sabbath. We don't believe those views to be accurate; I think I'm safe in including you in that generalization. You can't use the Bible as a reason to prevent the legal (not religious) definition of marriage to change unless you also think we can use the Bible to reinstate slavery, make shellfish illegal or prevent people from playing football.
Stop calling that dude your husband. If "he" is your "hubbie" and a dog is a cat and a pig is a turtle then we're going to have trouble talking about this. Be creative and get your own words!
@xotimox9 He entered into a marriage. Just because he and his husband are the same gender, his marriage is not any less equal and fundamentally similar to that of any other marriage. We don't want to be 'creative' we want to be 'free'. We don't want to segregate ourselves with 'seperate but equal laws', we want to be 'free' to use the same words defined in equally applicable civil law that everybody else uses. That creativity you allow us is conditional on us letting you dictate our freedom.
As a Christian I support LBGT as well. I get flack for people thinking I do not support them, I think that for the gays who think that all christians are right wing ignorant haters there are many who are not, they are just not heard as much because we never had anything to uprise against, like Westboro apparently does.. but now I find I think it's time we stand against the hate Westboro is bringing about in the kingdom we are trying to make for god.

@disrxt The Ten Commandments were given to Moses and the nation of Israel. Moses and the Israelites were Jews not Christians. It was only after the death, burial, resurrection of Jesus Christ was Christianity brought into this world.
