Loved ME1 for its incredible atmosphere, engaging storylines and characters, beautiful music and environments, and the deep, rich personal choice. Then Mass Effect 2 came along and added awesome combat, better graphics and even more fantastic characters and atmosphere. Best series ever.

Mass Effect 2 ist a very good game but its more opne to all Players because of more action and shit.

Mass Effect 1 is pure epicness . More Emotions more Atmosphere more epic moments and dialogs then in any other game.

I think me 3 will be a good game too, but never reach ME 1

@ghosthuntter An opinion shared by many. :P Mass Effect 2 is amazing, but 1 is far superior. Combat is better in ME2, except for cooldowns. 1 has a better story, better atmosphere, better pace. I mean, take away all the side quests from both games, and 1 still would be about 15 hours of gameplay. But you could complete 2 in maybe 5 hours. And Bioware have realised their mistakes from 1 - 2, and Hudson said they're trying to go back to 1's atmosphere and feel, which I'm grateful for

@Nadrim story wise, I'd agree with you... but mass effect 1 was incredibly boring wen it came to side missions, and pretty much everything else. It was an unbalanced mess that was corrected in mass effect 2.

I'm a huge fan of the mass effect series, and I'm in no way saying that mass effect 1 was a bad game, but it is a flawed one... but because of its story, characters and captivating soundtrack, it stands as an amazing RPG.

Bioware just knows how to get story and lore right.

You decide whether wrex is killed or not, whether the council is sacrificed or not, who takes over the council, and if the rachni queen is set free or killed.. and who or if you start a relationship in the game.. these choices will carry onto the the next game, and in possibly to ME3

Just played through this 5min ago for the first time! FUCKING AWESOME! The Story, the Characters and this whole Universe are great! Reactions varied from "I'll fucking kill that Bastard!" (more than a few times...), crying and saluting on Virmire to cheering as M4 Part II scrolled over my screen....wonderful! Now onto lvl. 60 for the second run - afterwards Mass Effect 2 is waiting! *_*
