jose feliciano was considerated in lated 60s early 70s one of the best coverman by Beatles songs, John Lennon also say it about Jose Feliciano's works. His 4 best albums from 1968 to 1970 (Feliciano!, Feliciano 10to23, AliveAlive-O! and Fireworks) contains at least 12 Beatles song. all doin a la only Jose can do.

I'm "anglo" and have many spanish-speaking friends who don't know who Jose is. When I asked if any of the musicians I play with knew of Jose, they didn't know who I was talking about. Whites grew up listening to Jose. The musicians I play and sing with are from Peru, Columbia, and different areas of Mexico. I think it's a generation gap or two. I'm doing my best to school these people on this talented, amazing Puerto Rican. but it isn't a white thing.
