  • the first couple of seconds remind me of Predator

  • @markus777 Apparently people don't get that, just say it a million more times.

  • Dammm You gotta respect that Liltle ( Piggy )

Outnummered and OutGunned yet She still managed to give the Enemy an run for their Money

  • WOW more pixels PLEASE?

  • @GEORGEBUSHISAKUNT

Ya, YouTube has re-compressed the clip into flash format for some unknown reason. Now, it's all super pixelated. Not my fault

  • vid shows the camouflage skills of tiger..........

  • bummer, i forgot my 3D glasses

  • @Motl3yDude

Ya, YouTube has re-compressed the clip into flash format for some unknown reason. Now, it's all super pixelated. Not my fault

  • this is like watching the movie Predator

  • Peccaries are no joke..And, jaguars kill with a bite to the skull..

  • animals have it hard, there is no mercy in their world.

  • i remmember watching this on discovery when i was a kid, those where some good old real discovery programs.

  • Can't see anything

  • Ya, YouTube has re-compressed the clip into flash format for some unknown reason. Now, it's all super pixelated. Not my fault.

  • mountain lions or "pumas" have the highest hunt to kill ratio

  • the African wild dog has the highest percent rate when hunting like 50 to 70%

  • I shouldve specified that I meant of the large cats

  • And still the African leopard has a greater success rate.

  • it is actually more like 90% lol... lions are about 25% i think

  • You need to do research, African wild dogs have around a 67 percent rate while lions only have around a 30 to 35 percent rate.

  • It all depends where you get ure facts from.... different people collect different research... i have heard of a recent tv programme that wild dogs in africa have 90% so....

  • So tell the name of the television show, and a lot of resources say that the African wild dog has a 67 percent rate along with the most successful land mammal.

  • Kid.. why are you getting so defensive over some stupid fact that nobody is even bothered about... and i found the fact to be on Big cat diaries when they were following a cheetah... a pack of wild dogs ran buy and that is when they stated that the wild dog a 90% kill rate

  • I am not getting defensive. And on "Big Cats Diaries" If they said that the African wild dog has a 90 percent kill rate then they are idiots, because no land predator has a success rate that high.

  • You do understand.... that the wild dog can out-run any other land animal over a long distance... they are natural long distance runners and wait until their prey is exhausted then they use there numbers to bring it down!!! they are more successful than you think

  • " You do understand...." Yes, I think everybody knows that canines and hyenas are built for long distant chases, they have enlarged hearts! And still I am going to say on average the African wild dog has a 67 percent rate, which is high! Lions only have around a 30 percent rate and tigers even lower.

  • @hickmankenon Actually, I've read and heard from more than one reputable source that cougars' success rate is nearly 85%..... which is pretty close.

  • While there is no way anyone can know for sure ive seen and read numerous quotes saying 90%.

If you have seen wild dogs hunt ide believe it too. They will run km's just jogging along untill there prey is too tired to escape.

  • cougars and african hunting dogs are among the most successful of all mammalian land predators in kill/death ratio on call of duty Modern Warfare 2

  • It's true wild dogs have a very high kill rate. Dogs in General have a higher kill rate than Cats. Simple because of the dogs higher stamina which makes them able to chase prey for longer distances.

  • amazing footage

both those Jaguars were fully grown yet the lil warrior manages to give them a real run for their money !

sadly she died due bloodlost but atleast she won the moment and went down like an true trooper !

  • Peccaries are made out of carbide and aircraft-grade aluminum, with little bits of whoop-ass sprinkled across the snout.

  • u do know peccaries like eating cats , dogs , animals , plants

  • que culo jaguar

  • MAN JAGUARS ARE BADASS

  • Man, that pecary is awesome, and it is not an easy prey. this is the second time i have seen a brave and ferocious prey on the battle field. the first was an african Honey badger and this pecary the second. NO ANIMAL ON THIS PLANET CAN WITHSTAND ANY OF THESEs Animals (Pecary and Honey Badger) POUNDs/KGs FOR POUNDs/KGs. and Win!

  • noobwuars

  • brave pig, and lucky, she leaves in south america where the jaguar is king of the jungle, if a lion or tiger would show up, that fight wouldnt last that long :)

  • actually jaguars are the pound for pound the strongest cats as well as the most successful hunters

  • leopards have the highest kill percentage

  • Actually domestic cats have the highest kill success rating

  • well purina has poor natural defense :-)

  • Lol. . . but seriously small cats in general, wild or domestic, are the most evolved of all the cats and the most sucessful and specialized hunters

  • It's a jaguar.

Peccaries live in South America, as do Jaguars.

Leopards live in Africa and Asia.

  • Poor litte piggy :(

Life sucks for the weaker species.

  • Well said.

  • just think the weaker species breed MORE!!! woot woot MORE SEX!! gotta give them that:D

  • hauhauahu

  • how do you tell a Jaguar from a leopard ?!

  • I think that jaguars are a stalkier than leopards. Plus, their spot patterns are different than leopards.

  • a leopard's tail is much longer than the jaguar's

  • jaguars have a ring with a spot in the middle. leopards have rings with no spots. that how you can tell the difference.

  • @tawfikakkad jaguar is bigger and taller than leopard

  • @001whitelighter Leopard is bigger.

  • Are those jaguars? looks like leopards to me!

  • these speciess are almost the same.they have the same ancestor.but jaguar has evolved to a stronger body, which needs in order to deal death strokes with the 1st attack.(something like the tiger lifestyle),while leopard has more stamina in order to keep up with the long distances of savana.(running to catch the prey, much like lions or cheetah)so jaguar is like a heavy lifter of leopards, and leopards are like long distance runners of jaguars.the spots on the jaguar are bigger i think.

  • This is onça, kind of jaguar tipical from south america, especially Brazil

  • energetic fun smart and loves this video

    comment me back 1P

  • Sad Ending But She Died with Honor

She Fought like True Warrior and Despite all odds She managed to give the Attackers a Run for Their Money

Its a Fight that the Jaguars won't forget fast!

  • that was a tough pig

  • Boar means male, and sow means female. This Peccary is a sow, not boar.

  • Those jaguars are awesome.

  • It's not a boar, boar means male pig or wild pig. A female pig is called a sow.

  • THe peccary didn´t died like it´s says on the presentation... What a stupid hoax!

  • No, actually the jaguars dragged it's carcass out of the river bank. Some time, I'm going to post part 2 of this epic battle (I would have done it long ago as one long video but it would have been way too long for YouTube's time restriction on video length). Peccary had a great heart though.

  • Ok.

I really hope to see it!

Many thanks for this great video.

    5 stars.

  • Thats mean though, I hate animal life, I'm just glad the peccary won because he/she is so cute :D

  • i love jaguars

  • peccary RULES!

there's no animal more brutal than a wild peccary.

i wish the peccary has won this fight

  • jaguar rules, jaguar means one quick kill

  • different ideas from different people =D

  • you have to admit tho, for its size, the fact that it took on two jaguars and injured one of them pretty badly, is an amazing feat for something so small

  • amazing, if only humans were half as brave

  • peccary rule!!!

  • whats up?

  • Amazing Stuff

That Bold Peccary Fought against the Overwhelming Odds and Won

  • valiente el pecari!

  • The Wild Pig Family is nothing like the

Slow Fat Docile farm Bacon Pig

an big strong boar is pretty much unbeatable for any similar sized Dog or Cat including Tiger and even Bears

  • BIG Respect for that Piggy

outnummered outsized outweaponed yet it was still able to put up a worthly fight

  • Well, the pig does have some pretty big sharp teeth and speed. That combined with an aggressive attitude is a formidable foe for a jaguar (no carnivore wants to get injured cause they can't hunt).

  • if u mercy on muzzie u will fall.

  • go Peccary!!!!!

  • yer i saw a black one in the zoo get geta its cage and almost kill a full gornw tiger that shook it off the fence it was walking on. they darted all the cats in that cage b4 the tiger could get too hurt. the tiger lost its paw and had 18 stitches on its neck lol. when those jaguars get big they get big. those ones musta been premiture

  • woow, if that was a tiger it would of just been bones left of the boar at the end of the video.

  • i agree but this is not just a boar, it's a peccary, they are very strong and very very agressive.

  • These jaguars are very small, probably a little bigger that the peccary. Jaguars vary in size greatly. Those in the video are probably around 35-50 kilos, the ones that live in Brazil are 100 kgs average(males)...that peccary would be no problem for them

  • Jaguars in the Amazon don't get as big as the ones in the Pantanal of Brazil.

  • is see jaguars often in my country but in flordia they call them panthers witch is kind of stupid.

  • it doesn't matter how tiny those jaguars were

their were both ADULTS and there were TWO of them

both were experience hunters but in this cases ambush failed

even a BIG 100 kg jag would have to wary of the pig's teeths

bitten by those teeths = bad news regarless of your size

  • Ya, everybody thinks that larger size guarantees a victory. I think it's ferocity too. That's why wolverines are known to steal prey from adult bears. They harass them until the bear finally gives in. I've seen this. That's why the pig stood it's ground in this case. In the end, the pig died but still.

  • These Jaguars aren't very small, they seem average sized, and definately larger than the peccary.....twice her weight I would guess. Also, this is a female peccary....the males are larger and stronger, and would have been even tougher in a fight.

  • By the way, I am extremely interested in wildlife and big cats in particular. I was always wondering if a cheetah would attack a human or is it too small for that?

  • Any animal can and will attack you out of selfdenfense

but a cheetah will not try to prey on humans unlike other bigcats

    cheetahs aren't built for it

  • Can jaguar pose a threat to human? Is it big/strong enough to dare attacking a human?

  • See the Youtube video "Kitty cat attacks" shows a leopard attacking a human viciously. Jaguars are likely the same.

  • an big strong jaguar can match female tigers and lions in brute power

so a human should be no problem

  • I think leopard is slightly taller and bigger. No? Jaguar seems to be more grounded. You can put the video, let people decide. :-)

  • hhmm... interesting. But who is tougher and stronger: Leopard or Jaguar?

  • Jaguars are the Third biggest feline

and said to the strongest pound for pound

  • I'd have to say the jaguar is stronger than a leopard but the leopard is probably faster and more agile.

  • I wonder what it ended in. :-) Did the Jaguars eat the piggy? :-) I hope so...

  • The peccary ends up dying in the little river nearby from exhaustion from its wounds caused by this attack. Then, one of the jaguars fishes her out of the water and starts to nibble on the carcass but is not really interested in dead, cold prey.

  • Ohhh I see... but how do you know about it? Is there another video?

  • I thought of putting up "part 2" to this narrative clip but it's not as dramatic and I don't know if people would be interested in it or not.

  • it died later due to his wounds but it WON the face off

the Jaguars were fored to retreat unwilling

to tangle with such a formidable prey

watch the Amazon series on dvd for

    the entire clip

  • This is bizarre. I heard that jaguars are even more stockier and stronger than leopards (not sure if this is true to start with), so my understanding was that it would not take jaguar a lot of effort to kill a pig. Or maybe these jaguars are juvenile?

  • actually is not bizar at all

pigs are extremely tough and strong for their size

if an predator can't control them outright

the predator will be in trouble

boars warthogs and other pigs have been known to serious wound and even kill

their attackers even lion tiger and bears

and those two jaguars were fully grown adults btw

the male was 2/3 years and the female six years old

  • What's the name of this show again? i remember seeing it a decade ago on TV.. awesome footage/moment!

    Thanks in advance...

  • Amazonia

  • Hey, the narrator is Brian Cox

  • That javelina, or peccary, was so small against that jaguar. I have no idea how she escaped his powerful jaws. A boar javelina would have been even stronger. They only weigh about 50 lbs, but could defeat any cat of similar size.

  • muito louco

  • good video

  • so what ended up happening? someone reply

  • The peccary ends up dying in the little river nearby from exhaustion from its wounds caused by this attack. Then, one of the jaguars fishes her out of the water and starts to nibble on the carcass but is not really interested in dead, cold prey.

  • ohhh, is that shown on another clip or was this a special or...

  • No, I just can't be bothered to do a bunch of editing out of commercials: it takes too long. The final video would be too long for the YouTube mini under 10-minute time limit. I might put the 2nd half up as a "part 2" or something but it's not nearly as exciting as this one.

  • The Pecarry died later due to her injuries

but She WON this face off

the Jaguars retreated unwilling to keep up with such a brave and agressive foe

  • dude, bacon is to die for

  • Now thats an REAL WARRIOR

Despite being OutGunned and Outnumbered She never gave up !

  • Nice post.

Very tough animals. True mothers can be real "mothers" in battle. Incredible quickness @ 3:50.

  • go jaguars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That small Piggy is a Soldier !!!

  • Peccary and Javalina are the same....and neither are boars. They aren't even considered pigs...bizzare little buggers and will put up good fights!

  • Damn! These animals seem to only defend from time to time. Just like the African buffalo, who usually runs not to face a lion, but sometimes kills one, and even its puppies.

  • I fuckin love jaguars the rock and are totally the cutest

  • Tough little son of a bitch. These jungle pigs are totally crazy, they would fuck you up if were jungle hiking and gets in its way. They are the worst thing you can encounter in a South American jungle.

  • they're not jungle pigs, I know some ppl who had run-ins with these pigs here in Texas, and around here we call 'em Javalinas.

  • yeahh peccary. ahaha jaguar

  • Whats what they call

    an Hardcore Trooper !!!

  • A lion would lose to a Peccary if they were even close to the same size. The peccary is a small animal, my grandfather hunted them....but they are ferocious fighters.

  • is Peccary and Javelina same animal?

  • A lion would have owned a Peccary (Boar) in a sec

  • No doubt! Actually, they prefer the wild boar, which is considerably bigger pig.

  • Yeah right, 2 jags couldnt even beat this one female Peccary.

  • No, I'm saying a LION could have easily stalked this pig. Wild boar is on the lion's menu. The lion has the advantage of size; whereas, the jaguar isn't really a match for the ferocity of this little animal the same way wolves are no match for wolverines.

  • jaguars are called tigers, why i dont know they dont look alike. the jaguar looks like the leopard

  • courageous feat from Peccary.Brave mother....

  • jaguars are one of my favriote mammals of the rainforest

    =)

    '

  • Peccaries are crazy man, i saw one beat a tiger

  • Tigers can fight large boars and win. But a peccary...hard to believe, isn't it.

see "Sumatran Tiger vs Wild Boar" on YouTube

  • And watch South China Tiger vs Wild Boar, Sumatran Tiger is the smallest.

  • I thought Peccarys were harmless, but this is a brave motherfucker!!

  • a tiger ?^^ tigers and peccaries don`t encounter in the wild.

  • if u wanna c the vid im talking about go to nothingtoxic dot com then type in Peccary should be the only video there, anyways its a South American peccary

  • Steven, in that vid there was a jaguar, like in this vid we are commenting, NOT a tiger.

  • well the guy talking in the video says, its a young tiger, ''El joven tigre'', maybe he doesn't know what he's talking about

  • this is very true

  • You mean a wild boar. Peccaries live in South America, tigers in Asia

  • its onça... no jaguar ¬¬

  • PUNKED THEM JAGUARS....BIG TIME...

  • wow one of the most amazing videos i've ever seen

  • DAYUMMMM

  • fantastic one.

  • unbelievable

  • very nice

  • yeaaaa peccary:)

  • Outstanding video! The best i have seen on Youtube.

  • nys documentary..

  • wowowowowowowowo. thanksssssssssssssss. WHAT A BRAVE MOTHER. :))))))))))))))))))))))
