How the heck do you get the belt on?? I just got one of these used, and cannot figure how to disconect the pulley from the Yoke to get the belt on! Help!!
@notpcone the belt is nylone bult fused to gether by a candle look on ebay for belt material
the other involes the leather hammer at the begining of the video
remove the front and back if still in place losen inside dust coversslide over axle remove 2 nuts at end of shaft losen pulley set screw so pully moves on shaft ,tap end with leather hammer not sure of rubber .be carful not to hit to hard end might mushroom

also one of the nuts on the shaft will have a split in it suppose to be there . Use a small biade screw drive to rein stall

Nice, but some questions.
The two chucks you have. One is standard Jacob chuck. What is the other, the black one?
The Jacob chuck is not as accurate as collets. Not sure about the other.

Cute but, isn't the machine set up backwards ?
I've seen alot of odd machines but, never a lathe of any kind set up as a mirror image to normal.
It looks like you have the motor and saddle/cross slid on the wrong side.
Still a very cleaver use for an old sewing machine cabinate.
