I don't get why people think having a child with down syndrome is so negative. I have not had children yet, but can honestly say if my child was born with down syndrome, I would not be upset, at all. My sister was a straight A student, popular, high IQ and everything else you would dream your child could be. But she has grown into a selfish woman, who has broken my parents hearts and caused both to have nervous breakdowns - I think it is 'normal' children who are often very overrated...
@tool2342 Maybe because people with down syndrome have a higher risk for many conditions such as certain heart malformations and other medical conditions. It's a normal reaction to be upset at first if you're child is born with a genetic condition.

I've been volunteering for the special olympis since I was in 4th grade, I'm 20 years old now, my cousin has downsyndrome and hes the reason I did the special olympics. I tell ya what from personal experience downsyndrome people are the greatest people in the world, they are always happy and cheerful, they never pass judgement on people. Kids with Special needs aren't weird or odd. They only want what everyone wants.... to be accepted. It is Special Education week & Autism & ADHD Awareness month, and this is in honor of all our children.
I work with two boys who have Down Syndrome at my school. I love them. They're such bright, fun people to be around. People with Down Syndrome are just the same as people who aren't. The kids I work with don't let their disability get in the way of their life. I know that someday, they will achieve their dreams, just as the video said.
There was this kid with Down’s Syndrome at camp and he didnt have any friends really, so i tried to talk to him a little bit every day and hang out with him, and as i was leaving, he came up to me and gave me a hug and said “Thank you for being my friend”. And it made me feel all nice and stuff :3

This made me smile. I'm proud to say, I think people with down syndrome are so cute. They are just about the most innocent type of person there is. My friend's daughter has down syndrome, and she is beautiful. Her eyes are so wide, and she looks at the world full of wonder. The doctors told them she would not walk, but if you help her she'll move her feet like she's walking. Down Syndrome is not a curse, or something to be ashamed of. It can be a unique part of a person. <3
Kids and Adults with Special Needs, especially children with Down Syndrome are my favorite people, because they are very loving, and have nothing but care in their hearts. I hate how people mistreat them, everyone is different.

I've been volunteering for the special olympis since I was in 4th grade, I'm 20 years old now, my cousin has downsyndrome and hes the reason I did the special olympics. I tell ya what from personal experience downsyndrome people are the greatest people in the world, they are always happy and cheerful, they never pass judgement on people. Yes there I.Q. may be low but they make up for it with the size of their heart. Fuck everyone that picks on these people, nobody wld pick on them if I was there

Kids with Special needs aren't weird or odd. They only want what everyone wants.... to be accepted. It is Special Education week & Autism & ADHD Awareness month, and this is in honor of all our children.

I work with two boys who have Down Syndrome at my school. I love them. They're such bright, fun people to be around. People with Down Syndrome are just the same as people who aren't. The kids I work with don't let their disability get in the way of their life. I know that someday, they will achieve their dreams, just as the video said.

There was this kid with Down’s Syndrome at camp and he didnt have any friends really, so i tried to talk to him a little bit every day and hang out with him, and as i was leaving, he came up to me and gave me a hug and said “Thank you for being my friend”. And it made me feel all nice and stuff :3

I love the music and I love them. Those kids with special needs are a blessing from God. They are also sentient creations from Him who deserved to have a spot in the society. Don't isolate them, don't insult or humiliate them. They are just like us. =)

My baby cousin is 2 months old. And has down syndrome.
What more people need to understand is that they are just like the rest of us with one more ingredient - sugar!

This made me smile. I'm proud to say, I think people with down syndrome are so cute. They are just about the most innocent type of person there is. My friend's daughter has down syndrome, and she is beautiful. Her eyes are so wide, and she looks at the world full of wonder. The doctors told them she would not walk, but if you help her she'll move her feet like she's walking. Down Syndrome is not a curse, or something to be ashamed of. It can be a unique part of a person. <3

Kids and Adults with Special Needs, especially children with Down Syndrome are my favorite people, because they are very loving, and have nothing but care in their hearts. I hate how people mistreat them, everyone is different.
