  • Hey Aussie, the column shift assembly and linkages are worth more than the motor.

  • Hey Ed, Where is the scrap yard? Looks like you are in the SE suburbs of Melbourne? Not too many scrap yards let you walk around and have a look any more.

  • @ZexionNetwork lmao, I have my own home, buisiness, 2 cars and normal life. scrap yard is after work on a day or 2

  • @ZexionNetwork Lol, who is the kid here with such a reaction... xD

  • @ZexionNetwork This is his hobby ya fucking idiot, whats yours? fingering your ass and sucking your own cock, now leave him alone or i'll flatten your balls sack ...lol

  • Ok, plays ok on a pc, mac and android phone, but not on an ipad....... Lol. I still blame youtube.

  • Someday Imma gonna explode one of those and see how loud a noise i can make..... there is no such thing as "too extreme" lol.

  • Happy Australia day!

  • Happy Australia Day Ed!

  • Nice old holden, I bet it'd be a 253!, no one scraps old falcons and valiants anymore, so keep an eye out for those cars too, they are getting more and more Valuable

  • 350 holley nice

  • Ed , to tell capacity of a Holden V8 just look at the engine number. if the 2nd letter is a "R" it is a 253. It 2nd letter is a "T" it is a 308 , also it is cast into the side of block under the exhaust manifolds. so QR******** or VR******** is a 253.

  • Maybe you can make something between that new V8 and the other Holden V8 that you have (if you still have it). Maybe get it working, convert it to natural gas, and power the Westinghouse generator with it.

  • despite the rust Holden V8 looks ok. i'd like to see how well it runs.

tables are good filming platform. interesting that something can enter the brake caliper. popping a tire sends it way off the scale.

  • Damn it has been a while. I was thinking that maybe you gave up making videos.

  • @fddriver02 a few weeks would be a while, I'm pushing it to get out as many as I do

  • Youtubes done it again. Reupload it please

  • @alexmacelectronics it works fine in 480 window mode

    not reuploading it again

  • Warm summers day? It's the middle of bloody winter here mate! Oh how I'd love to live over there.

  • you had a holden v8 engine before didn't you?

that's a shame about the wheel, but I did get the tire off my van today and will get a new tire put on tomorrow :D

  • What are you putting that junk yard engine in?

  • @redneckbryon nothing as of yet

  • Hey Ed, nice if it's a 308 because old school boys use them, but a 253 is still good to play with :-) I look forward to seeing you review it and bring it back to life. Cheers! Max

  • @BigMaxTube yeh I remember your videos!, never seen one spinning open untill then :D

Brad reckons I'm nuts to get a 253 but its still fun to play with.

  • Good find on the v8, they are great engines (I should know, I have one). By the looks of the HQ wreck its had a few later model bits adapted to it. Pity its being scrapped, probably a fair bit of useable bits in it. Check out the block # on the front of the passenger side deck, there is a wee lip where it will be stamped. QT or QR is HQ but if it is something different (i.e. torana or factory replacement) it'll be worth some dollars

  • @nzstato I saw that lip, can't remember the number tho :(

  • No audio?!? HD crap on iPhone 4S so lots of buffering, no option to change to SD, no option to use YouTube mobile, has not worked for days! 'cries'

  • that rim also fits the FORD ESCAPE,the mazda tribute is a rebadged escape , just chuck the tire inside a junker car or have a midnight "tire fire",the last car i scrapped had 5 tires stuffed inside of it

  • @daewooparts the Escape and Tribute are made by Mazda AFIK

I don't burn tires here but I can get rid of them for cheap, best to recycle them when possible, but your right about getting rid of them in scrap cars, they all end up at the shredder either way

  • @daewooparts TIRE FIRE? are you sick you basstard.. ??

  • @BloKK187 tire fires are awesome ! how do you think alot of the concrete plants power up them kelms and furnaces , they burn the tires , then recover the limestone used as the rubber "filler" and whats left of all the steel bands

  • @BloKK187 tires are great for starting bonfires that are wet, jam diesel soaked newspapers around inside them, toss them on and light her up!

that or towing behind a tractor to burn the wheat stubble on a field thats to be cultivated

  • @Aussie50 Its not cool for Invironment.. Yes its Usefull.. but the Smoke???

  • i want some of the older holden emblems , can't get them here

  • @daewooparts I'll keep an eye out for them!, nothing really left on the 1 tonner tho

  • has to be the 253 as it has a tiny little holley 2 barrel, our 65 mustang has a 300 cfm 2 barrel that is original and it has the 289 block

  • HD screwed up again> 720 and 1080p

  • I once had one of the brake caliper bolts fail, and what you have there is exactly what it looked like.

  • You better start finishing projects seems all your stuff in there is in the middle of being finished LOL

  • @travisjeanelle yeh its getting that way now

  • The rim has had Brake Fluid in it. Brake fluid is awful..

  • @ccraig412 yeh it explains the oxide buildup, looks like a calliper self destructed

  • mates rates and the other...lol

just on the weather your lucky to have a summer, up here is crappy Sydney we have had so much rain this summer it's utter madness, yesterday was a day of almost tropical rain storms

really yet to have a string of days crack 30 degrees, weird, this time last year it was one of the hottest humid days I can remember

    have a great Oz day

  • bet tit was the ABS reluctor ring (you Know the ring that has "highs and lows" that runs past the ABS sensor) by the looks of the scoring on that rim it may well have lost all it's bolts and dropped at a fairly low speed smashing the disc and then coming into contact with the reluctor ring? Only a thought?????

  • If it was a bolt that got caught, might explain the parallel damage marks. Threaded end scraping the line while the hex end turning and gouging in divots.

  • Ed, it happened again, damn youtube!

  • @reddragon27284 no problems with it on my youtube.......suggest you check out your pc????

  • @halesworth01 my computer runs perfectly fine. its youtube

  • @halesworth01 it happens when you go to hd

  • what type engine is your villiers?? as i have a villiers operators manual and parts list for type 10 and 12 engines

  • Could a reluctor ring have done that damage to the inside of the rim, seems like the right area where one would be. Especially as it seems such a regular tooth pattern.

  • unwatchable video quality -.-

  • @SuperHddf you call 1080p unwatchable vdeo quality? lol

  • Get the V8 lol

  • I seen this before... I bet the top bolt on caliper came off and it flopped forward..

  • Belt up that hyundai engine to the 2HP brooke motor and let it run without oil until it seizes!! Would be entertaining to watch :D

  • i wish there was a scrapyard around where i live as awesome as yours!

  • Hey Ed, can you do a follow up vid on your Dad's van? would like to see how it has done

  • A new engine to explore and repair, im sure you will enjoy bringing it back to life :-)

Yep you have to have a dumping spree.

  • I wish YT would pull their finger out and render for HD 720p and above properly, the sound is fine 480p and below.

  • LOL - The tire is flat, but that might be because there is two nails in it - EPIC!

  • 1.50 for the tyre isnt bad considering were i live its $22

  • @BriggsMower sounds like you are taking them to the local tip?, I take mine to my regular tire shop and its usally $1.50 for passenger car and $4 for large SUV/Light truck disposals

tip fees are retarded down here. $25 or so for a tire, $35 for a mattress, and $9 each for TV's. no-wonder the back-roads are littered with illegally dumped trash!

  • @Aussie50 yea it was the tip we tryed the tire shop didnt want it so we ended up use it on a motor bike track

  • @Aussie50 in canada you pay a eco fee when you buy oil /tires /electronics so you can dispose of the tire or oil or tv where you bought it but you cant take more than 4 tires at a time

  • How many die-hard fans watched it anyway? :)

  • @Aussie50

I had a bolt snap on a caliper causing the brake assembly to rub the inside of the wheel...even more so when I applied the brakes. It almost destroyed the inside of an aluminum rim on the right front passenger side.

Luckily, I didn't have far to drive home when it happened.

  • @fedorauser1003 nasty!, brad and matty have seen it before too, seems like a good explanation for the damage, metal nails/pins whatever they are in the tire are probably incidental.

  • @Aussie50

Happened on the car I still own...2002 Chevy Impala. Slowed for a stop light when I heard something pop. Got on the Interstate and started hearing a rumbling noise.

  • Video problems stopped when I switched to 360p, I can't speak for the HD resolutions as 480p is the highest my connection can take. I laughed at;

"The tyre is flat, but that probably has something to do with the two nails that are in it."

  • Man I bet your well pissed off.

  • YouTube needs fixed !

  • mmm id say that v8 has been cooked a bit. clean the block and see what it is. if 253 dont waist your time. lol at that wheel.

  • Left hand side of the block on the holden motor will tell you if its a 253 or 308 :)

Nasty damage on that alloy, we had a case at work once, where someone had worked on the car before we had, and the brake caliper had come loose and damaged the wheel pretty much the same way.

  • Hmm there is something wrong with the audio in this movie. Sometimes it's gone and after a few seconds it's back again... :p

  • @j0ch3m1988 youtube is fucking up again, I can play it fine

  • @Aussie50 i have this slowmo/audio problem only on your videos

  • @4833504F somthing must be really wrong, I tried this vid in 480 and 720HD and its fine, same with a few others that people are complaining about being broken.

not much I can do apart from wait for YT to fix their playback engine,

  • @Aussie50 seems to be a full screen issue, anything over 380 P screws up

  • @FAZER00432 your right, vids fine in window mode but just tried it in full screen and its screwed!.

can't do much about it myself, upload file is fine

  • @Aussie50 Aha, I see what goes wrong, both 720p and 1080p are fucked up, check it! :p Damn you YouTube!! xD

  • @Aussie50 Hi Ed gr8 vid any chance of you doing anymore HVAC A/C Video's Especially the mini split heat pumps its been a while since u did one.
