Granted it doesn't have 4 wheel drive and tyres the size of steamrollers to get off the line, plus it has all the aerodynamic qualities of a wheelie bin, but around a track I can't think of any Supercar that would get close to it. (The Ariel Atom V8 and Caparo T1 are not supercars, they are nutters cars.)

I said it would take about 4 miles to get up to speed. The caterham can get to top speed in a relatively short space. On the other hand, the veyron is so heavy and fast that to get to top speed would take a loooong straight road. In a realistic race, its safe to say the veyron would get smoked.

Veyron: 0–100 km/h (0–62.1 mph) 2.46 seconds - 0–240 km/h (0–149.1 mph) 9.8 seconds - 0–300 km/h (0–186.4 mph) 15 seconds - 0–400 km/h (0–248.5 mph) - 50 seconds. But I think both cars are pretty effing fun, in their own ways.

Nah it surely wouldn't... don't forget that even aero-friction has enough stopping power to consume most of available horsepower. In most of cars at speed of 250km/h (150mph) force needed to overcome aero-friction equals gravity force, so.... so just imagine how much it is :) It would be a little thrill to gain even more speed with a car with no additional aero-downforce.

Many good drag racers will tell you that the 1/4 mile is won in the first 60 feet. The veyron would have the advantage in those 60 feet. saabaru, u say the veyron has the advantage in first 60 feet, presumably coz the awd and traction control. There are 2 reasons the levante doesn't have either of those. 1, caterham is driving in its purest form, but more importantly, it doesn't need them. Like I said, I've never seen seen a motorbike struggle to get power down, and levante wouldnt either. Goes to show just how you little you know about this. It may go either way, but my money's definitley on the levante.

bikes generally don't struggle to get their power down because: 1. the rider is sitting pretty much over the back wheel, 2: high cg = more weight transfer, 3: bikes with lots of power just pop the front in the air and the rider has to back off anyway. Also, if the levante goes like a bike, then it has little chance. 0-100km/h: veyron = 2.5s, hayabusa = 3s.
