@H1sMaj3sty Actually the reason why the moombas call Squall 'Laguna' is because in Laguna's attempt to teach them to speak they only learned one word which was his name and apparently they only said it when they saw Laguna. Because Squall looks so much like his dad, it's inferred that the moombas mistakenly think Squall is Laguna so they say his name when they see him.

Another fun fact behind all this is that Laguna's former love interest (Julia Heartilly) married General Caraway because the love of her life went on a war/mission and never came back(referring to laguna who never came back since he wanted to repay the debt of his life being saved by keeping Winhill clear of monsters) and had a daughter named Rinoa.

cuz Raine's last name is Leonheart and Raine is Squall's mother. Laguna is Squall's dad. that also makes Ellone Squall's adoptive sister. and sense Raine and Laguna wernt married, Squall took Raine's last name. but Raine died... well, i guess they do get married, u see that at the end, but oh well. Raine's last name is Leonheart and she's Squall's dad. THE END
