  • ABS haters, cmon most people in crash or skid situation would pannic, saying that you should learn to brake with out abs is like saying when you get your car make sure to get it with NO abs cause its for pussies got to learn how to brake your car right, so if you own a car with abs and your sayin screw abs on bikes your just little bitch

  • @zep0c0llie better technique will always be better than relying on technology. You should still learn how to ride without ABS, for the instance that the ABS system malfunctions. I think it's a great idea, but it has it's place to assist rider safety, not make them rely on it. You do need to learn how to brake properly and learn slide recovery while braking and under power.

  • @zep0c0llie abs sucks donkey dick i disable it on every car i own and will not buy a bike that has abs

  • I want side riggers on my bike now.

  • I agree that ABS is helpful, but if it is on the bike, give the rider the option to disable it.

  • ABS!!!!

  • If i was the guy driving the non abs I would have had a heart attack.

  • the dislike are the ones who don't own a abs feature bike

  • this is like public porn

  • ABS FTW!! (y)

  • Hmmm why the guy with no abs just forces the breaks? Why can't he just pump it to stop?

  • @joyride199 Is this a serious question?

  • what bike is that?

  • wet street? lol? yeah on wet street a blocking wheel is shit. On a dry street you have a shorter braking distance with non abs

  • fuck it - the trainer wheels look like more fun anyway

  • one of the biggest SR's you can do is lock the brakes up. I think ABS is a good idea but if your able to over come the SR it's not needed(bare in mind human reaction time is less than 1sec). The more you venture it's SR situations and tell yourself to relax and how to approach it the better you will be. I have been in a few situations where brake slamers could have occurred and managed to not freak out and everything was ok.

  • This is not a fine test, both bikes slam fully on the brakes, abs controls the braking and the left bike should do it himself, this is panic braking with and without abs

  • what a crap test. i bet the brakes were engaged completely different on those bikes. the one with the "training wheels" slammed on his brakes like an idiot, while the other one didn't. it actually is a fact that you ABS hurts the stopping distance by a little bit. there's a reason bikes don't have ABS in MotoGP and WSBK. i'm not saying ABS is worthless, because in most cases it's good to have, but this test was biased.

  • @lnromandude There is a blind spot to your logic. ABS only turns on once you've locked. Don't lock and you'll stop just as fast as a bike without ABS.

That's why the testers slam on the brakes; they are simulating a lock, not ideal braking technique.

Sure I've locked my front wheel a few times and didn't go flying like the tester here, but I guarantee you I'd have stopped faster in those situations if I had ABS.

  • @atsernov well said

  • @lnromandude this test is to show how abs reacts to sudden brake engagement, in say a panic, its not to show whether or not abs will stop quicker, this test is to show the difference between wheel lock on a standard brake system and an abs system, obviously in a situation like that id rather have abs and not go flying sideways.

  • intentional failing ftw

  • sorry ,but

which one has ABS and which one don't?

    tks

  • @jungle12345kimo honda on the right side = ABS, the spinning one is without

  • @jungle12345kimo The one spinning out of control has ABD the one stopping perfectly doesn't. Thats why they invented ABS to bring some fun back into riding, its very boring you see?!

  • abs is for pussies :p

  • @TIIIMMMMEEEEYYY fick fick

  • awesome demonstration, should become stock in every street bike

  • I WANT SOME OF THOSE!!!

  • why did he turn his frontwheel? abs isn't doing shit if you do that with the other bike!

  • @PeIIe He turned the wheel after he proceeded to fall over. If those 'training wheels' were not there he would of fallen already.

  • ABS is good.I think we arent pros and streets arent racetracks.I think if you riding and suddenly sy go front of you(a car at a corner or etc...) and you shy (sddenly surprised i donno how it said lol) and lock the front wheel it will be hurt...

I'm riding motorcycle since 1993 so at least 20 years and I know it...

Now I'm using a honda cbf600n abs and I'm happy with it

I think its the beeter bike on the market(not the faster or the most beautyful but the better)

  • I had purchased TVS RTR ABS about month back from MATRIX Motors Bangalore. Within a month ABS is failed and it had major problem with gear system, i went to Matrix TVS service center for 6 times, My experience with this bike and service center was very bad, they never try to found fault on the bike rather these guys will always put blame customer every time. I was using FZ-S happily, i feel like I wasted my money without proper review. Guys plz be careful before buying RTR new module.

  • even the abs-guy would be fucked if he threw his front wheel to the side like this!

  • Why would 21 people dislike this video?!?!? I swear there must be a small group of people who simply dislikes every single video on youtube.

  • @lowlypawn My bike doesnt have ABS, that´s why I dislike this.

  • @lowlypawn Qiute a lot of ppl who ride off road and know how to brake dont like ABS, and yes, there is group of idiots who dont know what to clik so they go for "hate" ;) but i go for dislike as well... sorry. It is not real situation and I dont belive that someone could brake like this guy on red bike, you know how to dose force, well i hops so you know ;)

  • @lowlypawn Because it looks so fake. The person on the non ABS bike was hamming it right up, a 5 year old could apply more skill. Then people see this and support grows for unnecessary laws. Everyone old enough to ride a bike on the road is old enough to make their own decision on whether they think ABS is worth having or not.

  • Comment removed

  • @lowlypawn

because compulsory abs is being proposed for all motorcycles and not everyone wants it,it might look good in this test but doesnt work well in all conditions , riders want the choice of having abs or not on their bikes so they are in full control of the bike !

  • Comment removed

  • @lowlypawn

just they fact that lads dont want to have abs required by law,we should have the option of having it ! any reasonably experienced rider would never hammer on the brakes lik that in the wet ,its dodge enough even in the dry ! some argue that when driving over gravel and other stuff that maybe be on the road that the abs can do more harm than good but i cant say for sure as i hav'nt driven an abs motorcycle, but i would lik the choice, more importantly cant go drifting with abs ;) lol

  • @lowlypawn

You dont seem to get the bias in this video. Lets just squeeze the lever like a tard and call ABS better

  • @Bulgdoom Make a video in wet or dirty conditions where you brake faster than the same bike with ABS and you'll have a point.

  • @aluisious ibmwr.org/prodreview/abstests.html

Theres my point, now blow me.

  • @Bulgdoom Did you scroll to the bottom, for ABS braking in the wet? Your own link proves me right, you fucking moron.

  • @aluisious

You said wet or dry, dry beat em, and $1k less in costs. Happy Youtube User

  • lol i had those wheels to my bike when i was 6 xd

  • yeah I've had my back and swing out but not to this extreme so i didn't wreak. Come to think of it the times it happened were when i was being a stupid rider and not a cautious one. Learned my lesson after my first major accident. Now i don't ride stupid cause i don't wanna die. That's just my experience though.

  • @DanielJuno The back isn't swinging out, the front wheel locks up and slides out from under the rider.

  • *Swallows* Im getting ABS

  • well.. i guess if a veteran rider who ride the non-abs version along with a amateur on abs on the same road at the same time... that veteran is going to panic seeing the amateur braking distance is short and bike stable in handling..

  • that looks really fun......

  • Without ABS Rider Pulls off the Rear Brake only , The break should be applied in 60 - 40 Ration 60 for front and 40 for rear , I've controled my bike safely at a sudden brake at a speed of 132KM/Hrs, I think this guy didnt know the newtons law , And if ABS is gud then Whats the use of PIN Point braking in Disc Brakes ??? ABS goods in rainy season or in mud

  • Having been there and done that... my last bike had ABS and it probably saved my life; oncoming car veered into my lane. In the 2 seconds before impact I wasn't thinking about carefully applying my brakes. Instead I grabbed a handful and squeezed for my life before being launched over the car. Had it not been for the ABS I most likely would have slid into the car and died. I didn't get away clean though, 1 month in hospital with broken bones galore (still have a limp). I like ABS.

  • Well if the guy with the training wheels wouldn't of automatically leaned when he hits the brakes, he would of kept it up like the other rider.

  • @fonzuhrelli He didn't lean. The front tire slid out.

  • ABS is obviously safer but what one looks more awsome

  • i want trike wheels!

  • I think this video suggests that the real solution here is to put those big training wheels on every bike!

  • @scrapperito I know I want some! ahahaha

  • @scrapperito We should give all bikes four wheels, for safety. In fact, for added safety, we could put some kind of metal box around the rider, and mount the engine in front of him to absorb some of the impact in a crash. We could make the wheels a bit wider, and further apart for better cornering and traction. We'd have to give him some kind of circular handlebar so he'd have enough leverage to turn both wheels. Then we'd have the safest bike on earth.. :)

  • @rmessenger Better cornenring? Are you kidding me. A basic bike has much better cornering than a basic car.

  • @rmessenger Better cornering? Are you kidding me. A basic bike has much better cornering than a basic car.

  • @scrapperito

    landing gear to the rescue!!

  • I think this video suggests that the real solution here is to put those big training wheels on every bike!

  • I upgraded to a bike with ABS, a BMW R1150RT. I wouldn't ride a bike without ABS. With ABS, you have the luxury of getting on the brakes as hard as you need to without worrying about losing control. If you have to stop in an emergency, you've already got plenty to worry about. ABS = maximum braking when you need it.

  • they really have training wheels for motorcycles?? LOL!!!!!!!!

  • i don't need abs. i just need such traning wheels xDDD

  • if you dont have ABS in your bike you can always try it if you know how to shift gears effectively,ABS is same like downshifting but you have to be very careful while doing it.i always slow my bike with gears in wet condition it works try it but do it with a lot of care

  • @franian77 That's ridiculous. Downshifting is *nothing* like ABS. Only 30% of your available traction is through the rear tire. Slowing down by downshifting in the rain (I assume instead of brakes) presents a real hazard of losing traction on the rear tire, and it sure won't work for a quick stop. The best way to slow down, under ALL conditions, is with the BRAKES.

  • @franian77

I think ABS is for an Emergency Situation where the rider will apply Maximum Brake Force which signals the automated computer system to ensure vehicle stability under the present dynamic conditions.

If the ABS system is functioning, it should achieve optimum deceleration of the vehicle under most conditions.

  • that was cool

  • I had never seen training wheels on a motorcycle before.

  • @soaresdanniel theyre not training wheels oyu idiot

  • ya but no matter what i stil prefer it being me in control no abs traction control nothing

  • All of you guys claiming to "know go to rode" give your manhood a rest. I just rear-ended a guy tonight, totaling the bike. After 30 years and seven biles, I know how to ride. But when you see an SUV screaming toward you, looking to turn you to roadkill, you can bet you will overreact just a bit and lock that tire. Talking tough on YouTube is not real world.

  • @monkey505boy just this evening some retard almost got in my way i was going with 60 km/h and i locked the front brake making the bike almost fall on the right side lucky for me i have long and strong leg's and i reacted by putting my right foot down not to fall, felt the impact throgh my foot all the way to my chest :|

  • @monkey505boy Great post. Sorry to hear about what happened to you.

    :(

    <3

  • @monkey505boy Well said mate. I locked my front wheel up trying to avoid a rabbit. Sometimes you just overdo things in the moment.

  • @monkey505boy Well said. I locked my front wheel up whilst trying to avoid a rabbit. Good bye bike and one very stuffed up right leg. Sometimes you just over react in the heat of the moment.

  • @monkey505boy very true !

  • @monkey505boy totally right mate. No matter how skilled someone is at riding, there is always that on-in-a-million situation that will cause them to grab the brake hard on wet/slippery conditions and cause a lock up and skid. Happened to me on monday.

  • @monkey505boy I agree.

  • @monkey505boy I've had a few mishaps where I've locked my wheels up. Just today, I was following a truck and out of the blue, he slams on his brakes because he was apparently making a right hand turn. I slammed on my brakes, my front wheel locked up and I just prayed to God that I wouldn't hit this jack-ass in front of me. I learned that you should NEVER follow too closely while driving in wet weather. You may not be so lucky. :)

  • various things you could have done to not have that happen. When it is wet, use the rear so you know how much traction you have first and test the road periodically so you won't lock up the front. Listen to those classes they gave you when you were 15 which said it very clearly, 2 seconds between you that next vehicle. Never follow too closely period. you make your own fate. ABS is great, but still no substitute for a healthy following distance.

  • @concoursboy - 2 seconds is NOT a "healthy following distance" it's a MINIMUM under ideal conditions. And before you say it, I agree it is MORE space than most riders / drivers leave. Using the rear first "to see how much traction you have" doesn't work. In a real emergency, everything you do to prior to the crash takes place in 2 seconds or less. You won't have time to "test" the available traction.

  • @68rider68 agreed and when in a panic you arent going to think anything other than brakes. i dont care who you are or what you ride every one has or will lock up that rear tire at some point. my theory on riding... leave 3 look 30. leave three seconds from the car in front of you and look thirty seconds ahead or farther.

  • @pcracer2

Yeah that is right, even in a car (1992 civic) i have locked the brakes, nearly hitting the car in front. I remember telling my friends that you don't need ABS, and that you can pump the brakes to control traction, YEAH RIGHT!

  • @monkey505boy On the track or twisty back roads is fine but in real world everyday riding situations I think ABS plays a crucial role in whether you keep the rubber side down or not. I have a BMW R1150RT with ABS, but from what I've read BMW has bump it up with traction control as an option too in some of their bikes.

  • @monkey505boy Hallelujah!!!!

    Greetings from Greece man!!

I wish you always standing up!!

  • @monkey505boy I don't know.. when it comes to locking your brakes up.. thats a pretty noob mistake.

  • @monkey505boy i have been riding about a year, ive had several close calls. the first i locked the rear and somehow slid and let off just so i missed the car all luck. the second i hit a car who pulled out directly in front of me. the third i braked smoothly and came to a stop to the side of the vehicle avoiding the collision. the point is that its all in practicing or gaining experience.

  • @BholeViolater

    Fix your keyboard, bro.

  • @monkey505boy Well I have crashed into a car that popped in front of me, but managed to control the brakes, decelerated massively (70km/h to 10-20km/h), and ended up without injury, all of this on wet tarmac slightly above freezing temperatures with shitty tires..my question is: Should I be racing in MotoGP?? :D No macho shit here, my point is, if you ONLY know how to brake on hot, dry tarmac, you shouldn't be on a bike. I am not an experienced rider, but sober and fast reactions saved my life.

  • @monkey505boy " just rear-ended a guy tonight, totaling the bike...when you see an SUV screaming toward you" - Just how fast was the SUV reversing? - Oh I see now you rode into him - so you can ride a bike but the basic roadcraft has let you down. 'being able to stop within the distance you can see to be clear ahead' & all that.

Anyone who locks the tire under braking isn't familiar enough with the bikes or their own ablilties - anyone who thinks ABS will save them will also be dead soon too

  • @monkey505boy agree, everybody who tells now their stories how the know their maximum braking force have been lucky once, supernatural, or people below the age of 16/IQ of 90

  • @monkey505boy On the other hand, if you actually take the time to learn to ride your bike by practicing those kinds of stops, you wouldn't overreact.

  • @monkey505boy Maybe youre just getting old =]

  • @idiotzrule - may be u r too young and talking with ur balls.

  • @monkey505boy that's why you train and prepare for those situations, so you don't overreact.

  • @midnightfapper

or simply buy a bike with and ABS and enjoy life...

  • @monkey505boy years, or miles dont mean you have experience. for all we know you couldve been riding 30 years improperly. so basically you been doing it wrong a long time.

Im not saying YOU were...just putting this out there, its a common misconception that miles=experience.

  • ABS is perfect on bikes for an emergency where you might freak out and hit the brakes hard, especially on a wet road, but sometimes when you're in traffic at low speed the ABS kicks in because it thinks the wheel is gonna lock and you don't brake effectively hitting the car in front.

  • @Dinos0001

    Not with Combined ABS.

  • @Dinos0001 Interesting! I guess not all ABS is good ABS!

  • @dtmbcorp It's good when you are in panic and hit the brakes hard!!! But sometimes in everyday traffic it can be a pain in the ass... I'd say it's better to have ABS 'cause even if it saves you once, your money really pays!!!

  • wooooooow It proves one thing, motorcycles should have little wheels on the side like kiddies bikes!!!

  • Because we bikers usually like to slam the brakes when it's wet....yeah right.

  • why don't we put these two wheels to bikes instead of abs????

  • all people say that abs is good only in good roads..in sleek roads it can throw you down while without it you could save it..

  • The week before, Dad had his bike into service to get his ABS fixed on his bike. If they were not fixed, dad would have been through the back window of the car with the wife and kids. Or seriously or Fatally injured. Police found the man driving the car, When brought to the station, he blew an alcohol reading of 0.3%. crazy huh. he was charged with hit and run, driving under the influence, Intent to murder. He was imprisoned for 4 years. Lucky Dad had ABS :)

  • @pilotpro25 that story 100% convinced me to get ABS on my next bike. thank you for sharing that story m8.

  • @pilotpro25 Your father should have shoot that guy before he or someone else got killed?

You have to stop people like that when you have the chance or somebody else will be forced to pay the price.

But I'm glad your Dad was ok.

  • traffic, the driver of the car also went to the right so that dad could not pass. Dad had to jam his handle bars so that he would miss the car, which in turn had to jam the handlebars the otherway, dad took the drivers side mirror off with his knee. The driver of the car then got out and started swearing, WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING CUNT. And repeated this multiple times. Police were rang and the driver fled from the scene. In turn, Hit and run.

  • he had his High beams on, Dad though he was adjusting his rear view mirror, when they guy completely turned around while driving at 80km/h and gave dad the finger. he had his wife and 2 kids in the car. Dad then flashed his highbeam to show that he didnt have them on in the first place. Atleast a second after this, The **** slammed on his brakes, With ABS. and brought the car to a stop. With dad being a little too close. He had to slam on his brakes and avoid the car to the right, with oncoming

  • A situation which my dad had. He was riding his BMW 1200gt through some rural areas. It is a place in Qld, Australia, Called Woodford. It was going onto a motor way from 60km/h. It progressed to 80km/h. Then to 100km/h. Before it did this, An absolute idiot of a driver, I am refraining from using swear words, pulled out from an intersection and cut infront of him. they were accelerating to 100, yet the guy in the car stayed at 80. due to dad having xenon headlights, the guy in the car thought.

  • Don't lock up the front wheel and you will be fine... Looks like he jammed on the front brake and the wheel immediately locked and turned, if he knew how to properly brake, that wouldn't have happened... ABS is better, of course in an emergency but if you know how to use brakes without ABS good, then it isn't a HUGE difference.

  • @thiskory99 you obviously dont know what happens when the rear locks up.

  • @robby844 I've locked up my REAR wheel several times, on purpose, just to see how I can control the bike. And as long as you are not turning while the rear wheel is locked, you are absolutely find and have full control while the rear wheel is locked. If you can't control the bike with the rear wheel being locked up, maybe you shouldn't be riding..

  • @thiskory99 right do you know how big of a dumbshit you just sounded? locked your rear on purpose? my bikes dont even lock the rear.oh wait that because i have money and can afford the best.you obviously havent done it at any speed over 30 because you wouldnt be typing how big of a retard you are.i locked my rear on my STOCK 14 at 70 and went down.locked it as you say "on purpose" teaching a class at the pomona fairgrounds at 30 and kept the bike under control.but if your a real rider

  • @thiskory99

"you are absolutely fine and have full control while the rear wheel is locked"

Hey pal, 2/3 of your stopping power is in the FONT wheel because of weight transfer, not the rear wheel. Try locking up your front wheel at speed and you probably won't live to tell about it - front tire skids are much more difficult to control. If you don't already know this you shouldn't be riding.

  • @thiskory99 you are an idiot. good luck with your life.

  • @shadowmanghostrider I am an idiot because I know how to control a bike while the rear wheel is locked? Okay... Have fun bashing people on YouTube with your life.

  • @thiskory99 (like you claim) you will never lock a rear in your lifetime of riding.so you fail at riding fag.

  • @shadowmanghostrider yes he is for purposely locking his rear tire.i do it every weekend on a junker bike to teach people (like him) how to ride and not lock the rear up.th more he types the more bs he says

  • OR, how bout learning how to brake properly and not lock up the back wheel.

  • I noticed that the non abs bikes front end did not dive so no front brake was applied and the rear brake was kept locked on all the way till the slide stopped??? So not a real demo really was it??

  • well, normally you wouldn't lock up your brakes like that. you can preform the same function as abs manually with your hand on the brake.

  • yea yea ok.... thats why you dont ride in rain.........T_T

  • ABS...Cruise Control...So at what point do motorists actually start driving their vehicles? Where's the skill in driving a car that drives itself?

This is precisely why i prefer older model vehicles.

  • what a load of shit! the guy on the non abs bike crashed on purpose!

  • THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!!! (don't ask me what, I just like to protest).

  • bloody poor demo if you ask me!! take the fkin outrigger off and make him do it again.. different result I bet....tosser!

  • Yeah pros can stop but what we are talking about is everyday people not pros so the first thing is to stop as quickly as you can and you can see the diffrence with ABS to non ABS. And who has the time to practice to keep the skills up most people work 5 days a week ride to work and weekends to open up the bikes so for them any help is better than nothing especially in a emergency as most training goes out the door and you can think is DOH!!.

  • i've had my old ninjas crossed up on everything from acorns to leaves , sand and even a crushed plastic bottle ... Ive never laid any of them down because I know how to downshift and ride it out instead of panicing and jackin the wheel

  • the guy with no abs could barek progressly !!

  • WTF, my trail bike could do better than that lol with off road tyres. He obviously screwed up deliberately.

  • direkt ledönti a kis pöcs...:D

  • Amateurs keep your mouth shut.

  • That looks fun.

  • Une seule vidéo sur Youtube. Celle-ci suffira. :-)

  • training wheels! lol

  • but in real world, bunch of fucktards do ride motorcycles.

    ABS can help them

  • Can I have ABS put in to my 07 CBR 600rr

  • What a RIP OFF!!! This should've been called Training wheels Vs No Training wheels...

  • those training wheels look fun!

  • wow abs istn bad for a motorcycle. i will defenetly buy one with abs.

  • Yeah, yeah!... all looks nice driving straight. On the curve Your ABS throws you off the road.

Other thing... the braking with ABS sends You much more far, so You drive over anyone on a zebra crossing.

With no ABS You have a full control on the distance, not like the crazy guy on this movie.

Its a publicity film!.... sorry I find ABS not ready for bikes yet!

  • @mazbymoto unfortunately u r wrong , abs does help a lot , even a pro rider.

You are totally wrong. Ride before judge ...

  • @mazbymoto ABS simply modulates the brakes and keeps them from locking. A really good rider can brake with slightly better performace without ABS, but for the average inexperienced rider, ABS will likely save many lives.

  • what an idiot, you preload the brakes for one especially in the wet! the guy cant ride for ****

  • Anyone who wants to ACTUALLY BE A SKILLED MOTORCYCLE RIDER pretty much MUST have a background in both motocross and downhill/freeride bicycle riding. If you're an experienced rider, which everybody SHOULD be, you'll know how to work your brakes properly and have some control, unlike this moron who grabs the front brake as hard as possible so he flies sideways. For those who cannot ride properly, ABS is likely your friend

  • @strayshoppingcarts 99% of riders grab HARD their brakes when something goes really wrong ... most of em sliding before the crash or they suffer a highside stoppie with their bike on them.

    TEST BEFORE JUDGE.

  • @Nomoredie agreed that happened to me with my katana

  • will react and how you can control it without the unfortunate down of the bike not that often i bet so why not choose the option which will give you the best possible out come if you are in that position anyways thats my rant finished :)

  • why do so many people down ABS brakes for bikes there is a massive improvement for cars and there stopping distance and control so it should be the same for bikes and what sort of comment is a skilled rider can do the same without ABS who cares how many bikers really brake that hard that often to know how a bike (continued)

  • haha the guy with the "non abs" bike did everything in is power to make the bike skid out of control

  • hahahah so true

  • @Wastemun92 when you are speeding in a straight line and you brake with the rear wheels your rear will break lose and you will fall

  • @Wastemun92 sure - that is the point of marketing : )
