"I'm glad she's gone!" LOL. How weird. people in the 1950s were so caring and warmhearted. And they say we're a cold-hearted lot half a century later.
I wonder how many people who originally watched this episode were thinking, " A genuine cultured pearl for only an additional $1.00? What a bargain." and went out and bought a watchband the next day?
WOW! what a paradox,do house work while wearing a watch, then go fly a plane'..I wonder?...I wonder if that Kreisler band will hold up on your forarm and not come down when doing a loop-ta-loop?I bet that cheap makeup would run though.
The 50's sexual politics of these things is jaw-dropping. Been watching these in order, and this is the second one so far (out of I think four so far) where the theme is basically "women who aren't content to be good little housewives, who have a brain or want to accomplish anything in the world, deserve to die." It doesn't even dance around the subject, but puts the words right into the protagonist's mouth.
@generationj Its true though, the world was a better place when women were content being housewives. The world got a lot crazier since women left the home because by doing so families lost the ability to raise children properly and the family unit deteriorated. Now we live in a much more dangerous society as a result. I think the housewife or househusband position is one of the most important factors to maintaining a healthy home and therefore a safer society. Children need that stability.
I was afraid Veronica Lakes career ended with Sullivans Travels. I am so happy she was able to do this. I never imagined her as the first woman to die on the moon.
i as a lady that i am .. i ll just get a new hat

This is mislabeled. It's actually called "Flight Overdue"

This does not appear to be the "test flight" episode, with Lee J. Cobb.

I think that was a Twilight Zone ep, you're thinking of.

This is not the 'Crystal Egg' episode; check the credits at the end - it's 'Flight Overdue'.
