looks like he made it just fine as far as short wheel base verses long depends on what kinda off road driving your doing. Trails, rock crawling and most off roading yes a short wheel base is better. Mud boggs are different with a longer wheel base your back tires enter later then the short wheel base trucks, and your front tires get out quicker. Its not much but sometimes that little extra boost helps.
And I'm so sorry if this video got flagged imma try to un do it. I was tryna comment off my touch and the (flag as in appropriate) button was right under the comment button.. Hope it didn't flag
yes tires make a difference in off roading. all terrains suck compared to mud terrains... but when doing actual off roading. not just goin through some mud pit. you dont want some LONG ass Suburban or truck. you want a smaller 2 door vehicle.
you dont want a HUGE truck when off roading. ya it might be a beast n all. but when off roading you want something smaller n powerfull. the older Ford Broncos like a 69 was the best off road vehicle you could get! & thats a true statement
maybe you saw one go farther in a mud pit because it went first? and the guy who had this f250 didnt know what he was doing? or went the wrong way through the mud pit. many reason. but a stock suburban cant off road better then a modded truck.
OK......? I would love to see a Suburban do the Rubicon. Obviously you don't know much about off roading. You want something that is short or at least semi short wheel base. Cool a Suburban went to a bigger mud pit then a Jeep?
really.... farther you mean in a mud pit? cuz i highly doubt that. a stock suburban? for mud pits what matters if you have the power and tires and weight. first off a f250 and suburban pretty much weigh around the same. but if its got off road tires vs a suburban that has stock tires.... it aint going anywhere.. have you ever off roaded before? cuz if you have then you know a stock truck cant do anything better off road then a modded truck.. and thats the facts. so please inform me on something?
Depends what truck is modified. My stock Suburban was doing better that slightly lifted jeeps just for the fact the wheelbase made obstacles easier. It doesn't matter about the truck as much as the driver.
i know a 3/4 ton suburban will go a hell of a lot farther stock than a lifeted f250 with 1000 bucks ino just intake, over 4 grand into the engine 2 grand for suspension and 1 grand for tires
Not necessarily. It depends on the tires you have. Wider tires help counterbalance the weight. If you just have all-terrain tires you might get stuck in a suburban because of the weight in the rear, but mud terrain tires are fairly decent.

@DoggyB22 check out cooper discoverer AT3s. they are all terrains but they bite better than some of the cheaper mud tires

i agree suburbans would most likely sink in the mud real easy vs a chevy 1500 ya know HUGE weight difference lol
