Nice Tire selection for that kinda' play... I'm thinkin' the 31" NanKang 889 MT would best work for my 2.8 V6 4x4 S-10 Blazer, then again, lookin' at this Guys Rig, it looks as though He coulda' dont it with the 235's / 15's on it just as easy. It's eithe them or Interco TSL originals. A good Mud Tire can also be usefull in "Crawling Applications" providing that you dont drop the Pressuer too-much and pop it off the rim. tokie out
@Lukedawg1984 3 letters .. S.A.S best thing you'll ever do if you plan to take it on the dirt ... 14 bolt chevy rear with a high pinion dana 60 from a 78 1 tonn ford and your going for a good start ... find that stuff cheap as dirt at a u pull it and its fairly cheap to rebuild too
You can get, for ANY S10 or blazer, 3" torsion bar keys (Capable of allowing a safe 3" lift up front) and 3" Shackles for the rear on Ebay for literally less than 100 dollars. That's COMBINED. That's where I got my lift. Haven't put it on yet...Getting Posi rear end. Sick of open diffs, haha
@tcc187620 Since that message, I put the 3" lift on, removed the front sway bar and got quite a bit of suspension flex back, now running 33x12.50R15 Mud terrains, and having a BLAST with them. :D Also installed a Snorkel and putting a roll bar on it and some baja lights. But yeah, the lift worked great, though I lost a lot of suspension flex up front, you remove the sway bar and seeing as these trucks arent' top heavy in general, there's no worry about body lean. ;)

(((( Do not listen to him. Unless you plan on dropping a V8 in that Blazer, you couldn't even run Dana 30's...Dana's require a lot of power.
Cheap thing to do is the three inch all around and working from there.
It's not my truck, just a fellow wheeler. That said, if the engine has 164K on the clock, I'd consider either a rebuild or swapping in a fresher engine. Esp if you are not the original owner.
@scoobywtf i got 245K on 2.8 V6 and it's dependable. Runs loose but solid, and the SeaFoaming of the Block de-sludged it nicely. it's got a solid feel to the drivetrain, everything works except the rear window defoger, and i paid $500.00 for it,when I bought it from some lil' ol' Lady in Saltville Va. i gave it a once over,a tune up and fluid swap-out for fresh, and drove it the following week to Barnegat, N.J. for our sons wedding then back home to N-E Tennessee. no probz :)
nice s10 blazer i have a 92 s10 blazer and i want to put a lift kit on it but my dad says he thinks the engine needs to be rebuilt or replaced. i was wondering what u think. it has 164,000 mile on it and im just asking for your opinion
well what kinda motor 4.3? does it smoke hows the oil pres while the motor is warm at ideal? its possible to get way more out of a motor but its all on the driver high revs on a stock bottom end is never good you should talk you old man in to letting you get at least a 305 for it. not to much power but you got it when you need it and you can always go with hedders and a nice high rise for a little more
yea. nice set up. i like the light bar on top, the front bumper, fenders...etc. where would someone get the window visor? cool.
