The thing is.. If they didnt use those tactics killers would go free. The object is to get at the truth so that justice can be administered accordingly. If no one helps police get at the truth how can they expect justice? The fact is.. Criminals are willing to talk about their crimes. To let that chance slip away when the victims families could have had closure and a feeling that justice had been served would be the wrong thing to do.
