Patrick Mameli about new band C-187 and release Collision

I didn't mind the C-187 album. Some people say Mameli is "posing", but I think we all know he's the most metal motherfucker alive so he certainly wouldn't do that. It's more of him experimenting rather than saying "Gee let's see how many Limp Bizkit fans I can rally up."

PS: If you compare C187 to Pestilence, you're a dumbass.

It's kinda a shame that C-187 is compared to Pestilence. Why can't i make the music i want? Why does it have to be compared at all? I'm just a musician trying to create something else...

Personally, I've found the average Internet user, especially those on YouTube, should be ignored. The idiocy found on comment pages is overwhelming at times. People who make comparisons like the C-187/Pestilence one don't really understand music anyway. Just because a band may share some members doesn't mean that they should make identical music.

With the presence of a lot of technical death metal has-beens (Mameli, Choy, and Reinert) , I expected another "Human" or perhaps "Unquestionable Presence", but man was I disappointed when I heard "Collision".

Actually, it is not metalcore as we know it for last few years. C-187 is more groove metal, with nu-metal influence, and a bit of hardcore-industrial. It`s fine music.

Ooooh wtf! Why Patrick? I can understand you were pissed with the Metal scene back in the 90ies and it´s getting worse but I thought you moved into Jazz-Fusion? That was a huge forward but Metalcore is two steps back (behind DM). All the best to you personally but for your band...? I don´t know, there´s too much of these bands.....
