I beat the MW3 campaign in one sitting and wasn't really blown away, and I'm honestly nervous to try MW3 online, because CoD4 is the bar I hold the series to, but no CoD game after has been as fun or addicting. CoD4 even got a little boring around the 4th prestige until I started playing HxC S&D, but ricochet completely ruined that in MW2.

Yeah, it's that "enhanced" part that worries me. I'm gonna hop online with it this weekend to see how it is, I just hope it doesn't have the same effect on me as MW2. I played that for a month and was so jaded with it I just gave it away to a friend.

No overpowered weapons, no overpowered perks (don't mention juggernaut, it was a fair counter to stopping power), no resupplying grenade launchers, grenades, etc. No overpowered killstreaks... Well I believe it was all around the best call of duty game ever made (especially on PC with all the mods and more than 18 players on a map).
I still play Cod4 on Ps3 with my friends on Ps3. It's still awesome. You can still get host! It's not all the way messed up. Cod4 will always be my favorite.

It's all about points and Call of Duty should NOT be like that. CoD: UO rocks.

@Waine999 Choppers on COD4 never game me exactly 7kills but it gave me atleast 3-5. And once you get 3kills on COD4 you basicly got the 7 killstreak. People is going to camp even when it is no killstreaks. Then you get the points from everything and it stacks well its basicly no reason to camp even if you die you still get points and it dont mess up your streaks. That way you get that gun on gun action and you still get them fun balanced streaks.
@MisleDification But you can't argue that putting in killstreaks they gave players clear objectives (get 7 kills) and easiest way to complete those are to camp, snipe and use high powered weapons. You'll get your Harrier and then? New objective to get some more kills. Camp some more? Yes.
Back in CoD4 it was about capturing that point or getting that HQ.
@BEARARMZ In fact most of the popular games are +16. Nobody cares about those markings so long as they make money. Modern Warfare 2 has lots of features that just feel like they would have made to my 10yro brother. And now the add more of those features.

I hope they do something new, which I know they will/have. But CoD4 was the best in terms of multiplayer, I didn't have to worry about the other team getting a 25 kill streak and ending the game when they are down by alot. I liked dominating the team and continue that through the end, As long as there isn't a "Game Ending" kill streak I'll be content to dominating the scrubs who hide in their corners. ;)

Search and destroy was shit in CoD 4. Every one camped and for some odd reason I never was allowed to get my killstreaks. 3 killstreak nothing, 5 killstreak still nothing, 7 kill streak nothing and so on.

COD4 Killstreaks were boring. UAV....ok, Air Strike.....yawn, Heli.....easily shot down. Killstreaks are meant to be fun as well. Make them good, but harder to reach by not stacking. In COD4 I was better off to kill myself after the heli to start my Killstreaks again. What sense does that make?

Nuke boosting was horrible. But people bitched out The cage match on Mw2 because it was unfair. Sorry but I had no problems with it. It allowed people to get things they normally would never have been able to get in normal gameplay. Besides it didnt hurt anybody.
there should be a time limit between your streaks so you cant just wait for someone to walk by. it would make you go out and get the kill rather than camp

K The big killstreaks like chopper, AC130, Pavelow, dogs and gunship should not gv u points so you wont level up by using them cuz people use em to prestige and u only get kills with them. BO had made people camp even more because most of the time your team is full on shit and you dont have the killsteaks building onto each other to get other ones so its longer and in BO it was longer to get streaks so people would camp the hole game and the they end up gettin them when theres like 5 mins left
I think they should have the new n old crazy, high, difficult killstreaks! So if a person is playing domination or anything else? they should get atleast 500+/700+ points for capturing objectives! And if they just sit there and camp n kill they don't level up as fast... they should only get 100+ points per kill! SO KEEP THE HIGH KILLSTREAKS BUT KEEP IT TEAM OREINTATED BY GIVING PLAYERS BONUS POINTS FOR GOING FOR OBJECTIVES!
this is frustrating, I love mw2 killstreaks and now they're bringing back weak killstreaks that barely impact the game. For me half the fun of cod is killstreaks.
I hope that they are using Pointstreak, so when you are capturing a flag you get like 200+ and you need 300+ for a UAV and you only get like 50+ for a kill, cool right? Thumbs up and paste!!!

Why is it no one realizes what the blast shield in mw2 does? Lol. It was a flack jacket in the form of equipment you could turn on and off at will. It just took your hud away while activated.
Call of Duty 4 was definitely all gun fighting because of the simple killstreaks, I even notice my own style of gameplay make a large change when switching from COD 4 to MW2. When I get on a 6 killstreak in COD 4 I don't camp because I don't care whether I get that attack helicopter or not. But in MW2 being one from any killstreak is a big deal and i will find myself camping when close to higher killstreaks, especially the nuke.
1 thing that mw2 did wrong was one man army, danger close and grenade launcher/launcher class. They needed to include a perk similar to 'Flak Jacket' from black ops to balance the game! I hope they include a perk like that similar on MW3!
I agree with what gunns is saying but i would change only one thing, include the nuke and don't stack killstreaks. PROBLEM SOLVED. 3,5,7 And then 25 For nuke, no stackable killstreaks would make it super hard to get the nuke, and think about it, the game will be boring without the Nuke. I thought the nuke was a brilliant idea and I.W should include it in MW3.
I already play the way that the guy is talking about (The balls out way of running around and shooting) but can still get blackbirds/choppers/dogs. I agree with him and feel that the killstreaks in mw2 and even black ops kinda run the game. Moreso in mw2 with the stacking so I am happier about the COD4 killstreak system.

Dude trayarch/activision/infinity ward. All promote camping and the basic run and gun down someone. They will never choose a side that way more people will purchase the game. Evening out everything does get annoying and boring at times even then though it was basically evened out because everybody used stopping power or jug... I think mw3 is going to be a mix of both CoD 4 and BO.
camping gives you a reason to use assault rifles over subs, snipers over full auto and pistols over shotguns. without camping the game will evan suck for those who complain. because they will have to complain about something else.

I so agree. It would be so much more fun if they took it back to simple killstreaks. I hate campers and they wont go away until the big killstreaks are gone. And they should make it so you can scroll through your killsteaks. Lets say i got a airstrike didnt know where to put it so i scroll through my killstreaks to my recon plane i havent used and use it then use the airstrike. This would make it so much beter.

@nhbassistbry Having higher killstreaks did not make COD4 Better. COD4 was good because it was all around balanced. Having High killstreaks dont promote camping because it is a play style and not everyone can have that fast reaction time I have. Its simply because COD is having new people play. If Mw2 had simple killstreaks like COD4 it would not make Mw2 any better. Helicopters on COD4 would constantly give me another helicopter. OMA+Danger close would destroy COD4 even with the simple ks.

MW2 was broken because of many things; the killstreaks weren't the only problems. I hope they do something new, which I know they will/have. But CoD4 was the best in terms of multiplayer, I didn't have to worry about the other team getting a 25 kill streak and ending the game when they are down by alot. I liked dominating the team and continue that through the end, As long as there isn't a "Game Ending" kill streak I'll be content to dominating the scrubs who hide in their corners. ;)

COD4 Killstreaks were boring. UAV....ok, Air Strike.....yawn, Heli.....easily shot down. Killstreaks are meant to be fun as well. Make them good, but harder to reach by not stacking. In COD4 I was better off to kill myself after the heli to start my Killstreaks again. What sense does that make?

Nuke boosting was horrible. But people bitched out The cage match on Mw2 because it was unfair. Sorry but I had no problems with it. It allowed people to get things they normally would never have been able to get in normal gameplay. Besides it didnt hurt anybody.

K The big killstreaks like chopper, AC130, Pavelow, dogs and gunship should not gv u points so you wont level up by using them cuz people use em to prestige and u only get kills with them. BO had made people camp even more because most of the time your team is full on shit and you dont have the killsteaks building onto each other to get other ones so its longer and in BO it was longer to get streaks so people would camp the hole game and the they end up gettin them when theres like 5 mins left

I think they should have the new n old crazy, high, difficult killstreaks! So if a person is playing domination or anything else? they should get atleast 500+/700+ points for capturing objectives! And if they just sit there and camp n kill they don't level up as fast... they should only get 100+ points per kill! Call of Duty 4 was definitely all gun fighting because of the simple killstreaks, I even notice my own style of gameplay make a large change when switching from COD 4 to MW2. When I get on a 6 killstreak in COD 4 I don't camp because I don't care whether I get that attack helicopter or not. But in MW2 being one from any killstreak is a big deal and i will find myself camping when close to higher killstreaks, especially the nuke.

1 thing that mw2 did wrong was one man army, danger close and grenade launcher/launcher class. They needed to include a perk similar to 'Flak Jacket' from black ops to balance the game! I hope they include a perk like that similar on MW3!

PROBLEM SOLVED. 3,5,7 And then 25 For nuke, no stackable killstreaks would make it super hard to get the nuke, and think about it, the game will be boring without the Nuke. I thought the nuke was a brilliant idea and I.W should include it in MW3.

Dude trayarch/activision/infinity ward. All promote camping and the basic run and gun down someone. They will never choose a side that way more people will purchase the game. Evening out everything does get annoying and boring at times even then though it was basically evened out because everybody used stopping power or jug...
