Gotta say that the last time Ian sings "occasionally going out to look for bread and jam" is one of my favorite vocal lines from him, ever. This song is great, although I gotta say that "Law of the Bungle Part II" is the best song on Nightcap disc 1. What a tremendous instrumental!!!!
That's Ian's voice from Dec. 1972... NOT 1993. I have the old bootleg of the Chateau D'isaster tapes. Anyway, Ian's voice sounded NOTHING like this in 1993. His voice was gone by then.
Oh alright, I thought so. Because his voice was much more deeper and raspier by then. I don't know if it was gone by then, but that is when it was starting to wane.
@GooGajoob224 Hey Goo. You can get this song and the rest of the lost Chateau D'isaster tapes on AMAZON. The name of the CD is NIGHTCAP by Jethro Tull. This 1991 CD has all unreleased Tull stuff... including the ill-fated Chateau tapes.
These are the ORIGINAL vocals Ian did in Dec. 72 - Jan. 73 (during the Chateau D'isaster recordings).
I have a bootleg recording from 1975 with this song on it. But you're partially correct... some flute and bass were added in 1993 to fill out the sound for the Night Cap release.

@PaulHartXYZ Do you know where I can find a copy or at the very least a converted mp3 file of those tapes?

Great forgotten song from the Chateau D'Isaster tapes (late 1972).
Thanks for posting this.
