The thing I love about yann tiersen is that his songs are not that hard to play, but they're still so beautiful. Like this one, Watching lara, I looked at the sheet and immediately I could play it, but wow, I love how mysterious it is!

awsome motion picture about the time of change in the DDR GDR the communist part of germany.

great soundtrack and an great Movie;but you have to know a little bit about germany and the harmfull time of sepperating our country and berlin.

it IS the original, I don't believe for a second that this is him playing, unless he has his own recording studio. The sound quality is too good.

Well, you know, if he's playing an e-piano, then he doesn't need any recording studio at all. It just takes one cable to plug your piano into the computer, and then you can record the sound without any decrease of quality. It's extremely well played, but still I wouldn't be so sure it's fake. But am not here to judge, and don't really care. Let's just enjoy the music ;)

You're absolutely right that I would never be able to create this quality recordings with an acoustical piano..

The piano sounds themselves are generated by professional software. Check it out at Steinberg's website. It's called The Grand II. 4GB worth of high quality piano samples, combined with ingenious software algorithms.

My friend, it is possible to create this beautiful sound without the all the effects and expensive technology of a professional recording studio. :)) Thanks to relatively cheap software such as Cubase or Logic...and a talented pianist like this person. But i have to say, talent is the key and our friend certainly has that - isn't he good?

there are many effects that can be added to enhance the sound, but raw talent cannot be mimicked.

it is a beautiful piece&i wish I could play like this! :D
